Can any outcome of the LSU game tonight give you any confidence?

No. It’s McNeese.

No. There are high school teams that would beat mcneese. Nothing we do against them means anything unless we play like shite then that just makes matters worse.

Yes.

If McNeese wins, I am confident everyone will be fired tomorrow.

Something like 59-0 and giving up ~100 yards of total offense would make me feel a little better

For team as talented as LSU, you can really only takeaway negatives from a game like this unfortunately. If you win, you were supposed to be doing that no matter how good you looked.

I'm just looking for more effort / hustle. And no missed tackles.

Giving up 7 points or less and scoring 50+ would make feel like we’re getting better.

Not necessarily the outcome, but there are things I’ll be looking for. Can the defense play an entire game without looking lost and confused? Is the OL and DL firing off the ball? Is the QB making good decisions? We won’t be able to tell how much the team has improved by playing a lesser opponent, but I just want to see some focus and effort, the opponent can’t effect that.

Since some variant of this same thread has been posted 1000 times the last few days, I’ll just copy and paste my answer:

This is one of those games that tells us absolutely nothing unless it is close. Then we know the problems are worse than we feared.

LSU could win 77-0 and it would not give us any real reason to think that anything has been fixed.

A big win tonight, a big win next week and a win against State and we can talk about things moving in the right direction. Otherwise all the same questions persist

We are LSU. We should expect to beat these teams by 40+....
given the circumstances. If we come out with a little swagger. I will feel much better for Starkville.

If we play ugly and win 31-16ish. I have no confidence in us being over 500.....

Nope. This less than a practice.
