the better question is there any players who have played in exactly 4 games
so far this season. Those are the only ones that the redshirt rule is relevant for.
As far as I know there aren’t any, which would mean all players except the ones
sitting out, injured and suspended can play.

RB Chris Curry has played in 4 games. He’s a no go if they want to redshirt him.

Interesting to see if Clyde doesn’t go, Curry would burn his shirt.

On campus, but they don't travel unless rules changed this year.

Many have a life outside of LSU football and this message board? However, there should be a disclaimer on Tigerdroppings to not come on here and ask legitimate questions if you are not an expert on NCAA rules and regulations.

How do so many not know the redshirt rule

frick it, treat it like a preseason game. Play everyone. At halftime O can say there's freshmen he wants to see, and seniors who deserve to play before they leave.
After the game, he can say in the press conference that obviously he'd run it different if it was a meaningful game, but since there's nothing on the line he wanted guys to get some live experience.
Doing that in a NY6 game would probably force the playoffs to expand beyond just 4
