Jennings isnt a sec qb period. Harris is the future when he "gets it"

Jennings is not comparable to Boykin. A lot of people on this board were making comparisons with Jennings to Mett I find it hard to believe he can get any worse but if a little bit better isn't going to cut it. QB play and play calling have to be much better going forward if they expect to compete for a national title. I hope while they sat at home this weekend they saw that all these teams pass the ball, yes the may not have the best players but they are well coached and make it work. Its not that hard. Its inexcusable for LSU to be this shitty with an offense more simplified then a hs football team.

Anthony Jennings is the same (or worse) QB he was against Iowa. Zero progression, probably regressed.

I am going with no

i think you won't see a lot of progression, because a lot of his issues are just that he doesn't have the arm strength.

He may be able to improve going through is progressions, and pocket presence, but he still won't be able to make all the throws.

I think I was more impressed with Ohio States third string QB. We need to go after their QB coach maybe he can pass on a few things he picked up from Urban to our first or second string QB and coach's.

NO!!!

He is not talented enough, but the system sucks for anyone to succeed. LSU offensive system would hold Dan Marino back

Not unless we switch up the system. Patterson brought in 2 air raid coaches this year to install that offense.

That's because as a program there really isn't a system.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, his arm strength really isn't that big of a deal. he's got at least Flynn's arm, if not better. his issues are reading the defense and making quicker decisions (which may improve as he plays more, but I'm not holding my breath), and accuracy.

part of the accuracy issue goes back to him not making quick reads and his mechanics breaking down as a result (which Les even pointed out), but I think most of it is he just doesn't have good touch on his passes.

you never get the feel (even from drills with no pressure) that he can consistently throw a good ball.

I just don't see it in Jennings.

His tendencies will hamper him for as long as he plays. Holding on to the ball too long, skipping simple passes to receivers, missing velocity on his passes.

Sure, some things can and probably will improve. But, I think this offense needs more than just a serviceable QB. It needs someone who can make plays with his feet and arm.

Keep this in mind...he completed near or much less than 50% of his passes. His demeanor in the huddle can be polarizing at times, and he has the unfortunate luck of having a budding superstar nipping at his heels.

The Boykin-potential that we have on the roster resides in Harris, not Jennings.

AJ's a great guy and a great teammate apparently, but ... I can't see him moving up from #15 or 16 in SEC QB's (2014) to, say, #8 next season. I wouldn't bet on this, and #8 of course isn't good enough for us to compete for a division crown in 2015.

I just don't see it happening.
