Lets bring the heat this year with visiting teams. I attended games in the 80's and 90's where inside the stadium, it was an absolute nightmare for visisting teams.

When I was a student in the mid 90's, the student section was as loud and rowdy as it gets (and the team was lucky to be over 0.500% in wins). The present day students can remember one recent NC and probably was present for another and they still are not that loud.

???????????????????????

We may never see the remainder of the stadium getting extremely loud (due to ticket price increases), unless it is a huge game, but the student section should be rowdy every game.

Look, I'm a bourbon drinking, cussing LSU fan with the best of them but I doubt that's what we want everyone to be going forward. My friends and I are anti-bandwagon fans, meaning we party and cuss and carry on no matter WTF is happening, never negative towards our Tigers and always negative to the opposition. We had a GREAT time at the Ole Miss game last year so something must be seriously wrong with us. I started LSU in 92. With that squad as my reference I admit something's tweaked.

We get worse and worse reception with LSU fans in the stadium and they're probably justified. I'll give Auburn fans the business, but only inside the stadium. I doubt we need more of us and I should probably grow up a bit myself.

Just be happy with what kind of fan you are and be happy supporting the team you love. Don't try to turn the new generation into what LSU used to be, just be happy there is a new generation.

agree wholeheartedly ... but criminal acts like rocking buses outside the stadium cannot be tolerated

They didn't live in Power dorm. Therefore they will never be savages like us. No one understand what the atmosphere at LSU was like 'back' then, and I'm not even talking about football games. Just a different time. I hope LSU has overcome the attitude we had as underclassmen.

The exterior doors were chained open, everyone knew the combination to our dorm door, we weren't model students. I was probably the drunkest physics major in the country, at least I hope I was.

We have lost our party school status with all major publications.

death at the university did this, not the fans

and the 2007 UF game was as loud as any game in LSU history. When we play good teams, the fans get up

Why, I remember going to the Ohio St game in '87 and fans were rockin' buses then. I think that was when Earl Bruce coached OSU and Mike Archer was ours. I grew up around that scene. i loved it!!!!

I am always wanting to cheer and get the crowd into it, but it is always the people who sit behind me that tell me to sit down.

With high expectations, tickets harder for many to get, and the childish obsession with alcohol confiscation, we might never hear TS roar like it used to. LSU itself has changed a lot, mostly for the better. I'd like for my degree to be worth something.
