Someone with nfl draft expertise, how likely is he to be drafted? Seems odd a kicker leaving early for the draft

He probably graduated already

Very likely based on leg strength, I’d be shocked if he isn’t.

Only at lsu does the kicker leave early

When’s the last time we’ve had a kicker leave early for the draft? Have we EVER had a kicker leave early for the draft? dude is an unreal talent and he’ll give some team a weapon on special teams. Best of luck, Cade! Hell of a Tiger!

Here’s the thing though.. a kicker (and especially a kicker with Cade York’s college career) isn’t going to improve his draft stock by playing another year. Either a team needs a kicker and drafts him, or they don’t. I think it comes down more to who else is in the draft at that position than anything.
The one thing he could do by coming back is take over kickoff duties.. but I don’t think anyone is going to question Cade York’s leg strength, so I doubt it matters.

I don’t know the answer, but if we have ever had a kicker who could leave early.. it’s Cade York.

Guy had the chance to set the LSU points record and basically make it unbreakable with the covid year.
Would really make a difference this year; another selfish decision.

Remember, he would have been a senior this year if not for the Covid exemption. Probably is time to go.

Janikowski and Aguayo left FSU early. Aguayo got picked in the 2nd and was out the league in a year.

Kickers have the longest shelf lives in football; there’s no rush.

Absolutely. Can’t be too upset about him leaving. He gave us three good years and was clutch when we needed him.

No, he was a true freshman in 19, was at LSU 3 years

This guy is the next Justin Tucker. Best college kicker I have ever seen by a lot.
