If Nuss comes out slinging (accurately and with velocity), we are actually TRYING to run the ball, and we’re up 14+ at the half, we’ll know this team has a shot.

If Nuss looks like he did against ole miss and the run game is still non existent, congrats we just punched our ticket to the Pantene Smooth Skin Bowl.
Have years of team deficits not registered. The offense we have seen and the QB we have seen will be the offense we see the rest of the year. This team still has a chance, but will need turnovers, clean games with few penalties, and ST scores to win games. This team will not run it, will not push it down field, will not change QBs, will not change play callers....this is it. Will we beat SC? We should, comfortably. But we will lose two more and be out of the playoff due to our staff watching this unfold since Spring, it is too late to fix now.

Unless sloan changes his tactics, we're still in the same cycle. 1, 2, 3, punt.

Just call a running play so the line knows they have to block for a running back and not guess at whether to run block or pass block.

teams run block on RPOs.
QB has to get the ball out quick before linemen are too far downfield.

Here's where I think you could very clearly be wrong:

We're knotted up 7-7 at half. We come out 2nd half and punch them in the mouth with a sustained TD drive, intercept Sellers, and score again. End up winning 27-10. Would you still think we knew what this team was at halftime? That makes no sense.

The real question is how many “receipts” will BK have collected this year? After all, he did promise.

We’re not losing to A&M. That’s gonna be a special night like Ole Miss last year. The atmosphere alone will win us that game.

I’ll say we’ll know by midway in the third-quarter because if the above scenario is happening in MVB ain’t in, it’s all over.

I think by halftime at the Vandy game will be a more precise accurate barometer

This is year four of BK. We know how this goes.

LSU will beat USCe, then likely lose three straight to Vandy, aTm, and Bama. One of these will be the annual blow out.

Then we win out, win a shite bowl, and the excuses start for year five.

It make me happy people are starting to see Brian Kelly for the fraud he is.

Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, I think it'll be the same thing we've been seeing but with maybe slightly better execution so it won't look nearly as bad but won't be great either.

I will gladly admit I was wrong if it's anything to the contrary, but this ain't our first rodeo.

I prefer how the Saints with Payton and Brees did the first 15 plays. Run different plays and formations to see how the defense plays them and see where the weaknesses are. Then you have the rest of the game to exploit the defense.

What if the offense looks like crap in the 1st half, Kelly sits Nuss, and the offense starts clicking with Van Buren?

Then looks like we’ve found our answer. I don’t care who gets it done, it just needs to get done. Can’t go out and waste $18 mil and this stellar, national championship caliber defense.

Could very well be. My logic is that after a devastating loss in a game we should have won on paper (think bama fsu week 1) and a bye week, if we don’t come out looking like a new team tomorrow night I don’t see us turning this around. Case in point being that bama did turn it around and looks like a top 3 team in the nation right now.

Yea that’s what I was thinking. lol watching the game at the half I was thinking about “wow we’re within striking distance and we’re a great second half team, it’s on lock now” just to come out so flat and uninspired

100%. If Nuss looks like he did against ole miss the first half tomorrow night and MVB isn’t subbed in then that’s a wrap on the season for me
