That's a fair observation. OTOH, I think Devin's going to benefit from improved/better LB coaching than the prior guys had.

Devin White reminds me a lot of Reuben Foster but, I think white will be better.

I hope so. IMO, Beckwith is the most improved player on defense this year.

Good friend of mine, sad to say Bama fan, wrote me about the similarities he sees btwn FR White and then FR R Foster. Foster was a human missile on ST as a FR/SO, and got into their starting lineup as a JR at ILB. White has really stepped it up in recent weeks with some devastating plays on STs, and he'll be starting next to D. Alexander next season at ILB. The guy is fast and brings the wood. I would expect him to only improve with D.A coaching.

Having Riley, Beckwith, & D. White as our line backing group, has made this defense very Alabama-like.....maybe even better....

Devin White is outstanding on special teams, and played very well on defense vs. Bama.
Did not notice him as much on defense vs. Ark., but yes, he will have a big impact as Beckwith did, on defense, before his LSU days are over.

My vote would go to Duke Riley.
Anyway, DW has the perfect storm to be a dominant linebacker in the SEC. He has great coaching, a 3-4 scheme that is very LB dependent, size, speed and instinct's. We will be talking about hurricane Devin White for years to come. There are some running backs in high school right now that don't know what is about to hit them in the next couple of years.

Honestly I think beckwith may be a better overall athlete than Devin white . Not by much but I think Devin white plays a bit stiffer . I think it's just his body type , he may be faster and more powerful than beckwith already though .

Devin White is better inside linebacker, his traits i mean . I was actually surprised beckwith has done so well on the inside . I think he make a better edge player in the NFL , he's very good on the outside .

im buying mr. white. yea he only has 21 tackles as a previous poster commented however he does not play a lot right now and the plays that he does make are awesome. and the few times he has played at the linebacker spot he has made plays. 21 tackles and 15 are probably special teams. heck its hard to get tackles when KB has 16 and duke has 13 BUT HE DOES DEF PASS THE "EYEBALL" TEST. he is a young takeo spikes built just like him also and sort of lol look like him. hmmmm takeo let me find out lol geaux tigers
