They'd be more forgivable because they'd agree with the guy that got the first shot.

Fans would still be mad af tho

You will love even more that the last time I said that, some Jack wagon labeled me as an O apologist and says I was making excuses already for loss in week 1. It was a good laugh.

If burrow were 80% what he is, he'd still be by far the best we have.

Oh mad as hell no doubt

I was actually posting WRONG about the idea that we are SUPPOSED to lose to Miami.

That’s an overrated overhyped soft as hell ACC mirage rolling into JerryWorld.

I fully expect an LSU win. Aranda will be ready to unleash hell the same way the Tigers did to start the season there in 2011 and 2013

I re-watched the spring game. I'd be comfortable with McMillan starting. He has great presence in the pocket, and he can make most of the throws. He struggled a bit throwing darts to the middle of the field.

Oh yes, those Spring game Heisman winners.

McMillan would be a disaster against everybody on the schedule except for maybe Rice, SELA and Tech.

He'd be grossly in way over his head against Upper and even Lower echelon SEC defenses.

How so many of you on here are just totally blind to what it takes to be an SEC Championship type QB is unbelievable. (Certainly not surprising though)

ON PAPER Burrow is the best QB on staff

On paper doesn’t mean shite. Sports are not played on paper.
You could fill a library with the volumes of books on athletes who looked good on paper but didn’t make it at a certain level or in a certain environment. How many teams in the history of the NFL or college football looked like the best on paper but didn’t win championships?

1) we haven't had one in so long it's hard to remember what one looks like.

2) would you say JJ was an SEC Championship caliber QB? He won an SEC Championship so I guess he is right?

I think you need to brush up on the English language baw.

Wasn't saying that would and should mean the same thing. Just that the suggestion and the way he structured his sentences mean basically the same thing.

I don’t disagree. It’s not wisest, but if burrow rides the bench and we start losing... you better bet people will be mad. I mean he’s already been deemed our savior so imagine the “backup QB” drama times 10

Haha, yeah, ok, just because you say so. I can't explain things any clearer for you if you cannot comprehend basic English. I never said it was right. I am making an observation. I also don't think we are supposed to lose to Miami - that was sarcasm. I personally think we are going to beat Miami. I think Miami will come down to earth this year. Georgia lost two great rushers as did Auburn. Those are 3 very winnable games regardless who is under center. Joe Burrow will start and he will be electric.

That's all I am saying. I do think from the video I have seen of Burrow though, he will be the right pick. Right size, he makes good decisions, throws missiles with accuracy, stats are pretty good in the limited starts.

I have been beat down by the ranks of Burrow worshipers. Borrow will be the starter if for no other reason than he is Orgeron’s very first hand picked quarterback at LSU. At this point do you think O given the choice between 2 relatively comparable QBs that he would dare select a quarterback other than the quarterback that he hand-picked? Not in a million years would O play another quarterback over his hand picked QB. Win or lose! And those that know Orgeron and are honest with themselves know I am right. Brennan, McMillian and Narcisse are screwed before the season even starts.

You are probably right in that Burrow will start regardless at this point. Whether chosen fairly or not, I think he will turn out to be the right choice. I don't think the others are getting screwed though. Watching all four of them it is very clear that Burrow is more advanced than the others in terms of reading defenses and going through progressions. Brennan is probably the closest but not real close, plus he is so small. McMillan looked very good in the spring game but tends to give away his intended target. Narcisse is the farthest off.

This thread is bad, and you should feel bad.

If one of the other three, even Justin, shows he's the best, that's who should play.
