Awful news.

Ian Rapoport
@RapSheet

Bengals QB Joe Burrow tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee, an MRI showed, per me and @TomPelissero. Burrow will undergo reconstructive surgery and rehab for 2021.

At least it’s 2020 and not 1980.

And he’s a QB and not a RB.

Pray for no complications.

Joe is the kind of guy to do the work to get back.

Cincy need to figure out that OL

He got PAID and, will continue to get paid.

Injuries happen, it's not if but when.

Had it done in 85. Screw and staple holding it together. Hurt like hell. Coaches helped me to my car. Drove home. Went to the hospital and had to get surgury immediately. Glad times have changed. Joe is tough. My favorite tiger.

Wait he’s going to miss 2021?

Or this means rehab for the 2021 season?

Step 1) Fire Zach Taylor. Having your rookie have the 2nd most passing attempts in the league behind the worst OL in football is a fireable offense. He also ran Mixon 13 straight times in a 27-3 loss with 8 minutes left in the 4th (he got hurt).

Step 2) Draft Sewell, kick Williams to guard if the rookie RT looks good these next 5 games.

Step 3) sign/trade for a guard and center that are actually good at any cost. Personally I’d sign a center and trade for Kevin Zeitler from the giants.

ANY QB on ANY team is susceptible to a lineman(s) missing a block and being exposed to a viscous hit. Injuries are a part of the game. EVERY player knows the risks when they take the field.

Hopeful that JB will make a full recovery. No doubt he will receive the best medical care available and he will put in the necessary rehab work.

It was a freak accident that could happen any week to any QB in any football game from pee wee to the NFL. Injuries happen.
