Burrow vs Clemson’s Defense and Venables

Venables will have been game planning for LSU’s offense for over a month by game time. Clemson has legit talent obviously. LSU has the OC staff and the talent. But they don’t have a Joe Burrow.
If Burrow has just a regular average game from this season...it will be decided.
Joe Burrow will then have the undisputed greatest season in college football history for a QB. Maybe any player regardless of position.
It shouldn’t be a discussion even at this point.
As a former hater of the Coach O hire, I will say, he IS LSU football. I love that man. Coach O and Slinger allowed the perfect storm to happen with this offense. Coach Ensminger working with Burrow and allowing Joe Brady to do his thing is the only way this offense could go from good to historic. Coach O put the pieces in place that was needed and pressed all the right buttons.
Coach Aranda and the Defensive staff did their job great as usual. I don’t care what Ole Miss or anybody else did, the defense was missing key players or playing hurt most of the year. Aranda held the rope while undermanned and then had the defense dominating after everyone was back.
If LSU loses, it is still the best team in LSU history in my opinion. No LSU team has had a better season ever. But this team has gone undefeated through an extremely tough regular season, SEC championship, a playoff game and still has the big one left.
With a win, this team is the GOAT college football team in history. Nothing will change my mind.

I’m sure they were game planning for osu for a month. They will have 2 weeks for LSU.

If anyone prepared ahead, it would've been LSU since they had OU, not Ohio State.
Clemson wasn't looking past a team that almost beat them.

No, Venables hasn't been game planning for LSU for weeks already. Ridiculous thread.

Two good things came from Clemson v. tOSU
1) Clemson couldn’t look ahead,
2) Clemson showed their weaknesses

Them white slow LBs better get ready.

Technically it’s Fighting Tigahs!

Clemson hasn't been prepping for LSU for "a month". Just like LSU hasn't been prepping for Clemson for "a month". There is NO WAY Clemson "assumed" they were going to beat OSU. I promise Venables didn't look at a shred of LSU film prior to the OSU game.

You may be right but it was said last year Clemson prepared for Notre Dame for only one week and the rest of the time was prep for Bama. Not sure how true though.

Cole Cubelic reported Friday morning that he was told by a staff member at Clemson that the Tigers used the majority of bowl season to prepare for Alabama. The team reportedly only prepared for Notre Dame, its first opponent, for a week.

I GUARANTEE IT WILL BE BLITZ CITY ALL NIGHT.

It doesn't matter who is doing the game planning or for how long they have been doing the game planning, Joe Burrow and LSU's offense has destroyed every team they played so far because LSU's offense is unstoppable due to all of the weapons they have. Which is why LSU is 14 & 0 currently and will be 15 & O after we notch another victory over Clemson for the National Championship.

Did you not watch that huge white baw track down dobbins who had a couple yard head start??....saved a sure TD and Ohio State ended up kicking field goal

Venable was getting boat races by OSU until Dobbins got hurt and stupid arse Day kept subbing and broke tempo
When going fast Clemson was suffocated
LSU receivers and qb are superior to buckeyes
So is OL..CHE has better hands in the passing g game than Robbins
LSU 45-27

LSU's offense has faced the following defensive luminaries over the last 9 games:
Grinch/OU
Smart (Lanning)/UGA
Elko/aTm
Saban (Golding)/Bama
Steele/Auburn
Shoop/MSU
Grantham/Florida
Now - I'm not going to put the stink on Venables, as I think he is one of the Top 2 or 3 DCs in college football. But, you take out the head coaches (Smart and Saban) above, and get down to Grantham, Shoop and Grinch, and then even Steele and Elko - that's probably the bulk of the Top 10 college DCs right now, along with Aranda. Certainly all would be considered in the Top 15 or so.
So, it isn't the Xs and Os, it's the Jimmys and Joes. Sometimes, literally.

It is truly amazing what this offense has done.
