uh, he does indeed get his signing bonus in one lump sum. True, taxes and agent fees will take half, but he gets that all at once.

In a basic savings account he’d make over 700k a year in interest just for letting it sit there.....must be nice

What?

#1) it will not likely be in a ‘basic’ savings account (which is paying less than 1% interest. Even wealth management accounts are paying less than 2.5%.

#2) Of the 23 million signing bonus he will clear about 12 million after he pays his manager, agent and Uncle Sam. Assuming he puts it in a ‘savings’ account (which he won’t) and gets 2% interest that would be about $240,000 per year -or $20,000 per month (which he has to pay taxes on). If he followed your plan he would be lucky to clear $10,000 - $15,000 per month.

It’s not as easy to build wealth as many would believe.

I’d have to buy a Lambo, then after that I would put money in savings.

It would also be smart to buy three nice houses in BR, then rent them out to Tiger fans obsessed with Burrow.

I've actually gotten word that Spencer Callahan will be catching passes from Burrow this season.

This is Spencer Calahan, and you're watching the Saints on Fox 44
