Tua and Hurts keep coughing up huge numbers.

Burrow needs to play ball and block out the Heisman noise. Nothing is a team killer worse than thinking you need to play better to win an award.

Edited to say: And I believe Joe would agree with me. He is about winning games not personal awards.

Burrow needs to continue to win all games through the SECG.

It’s a tough year to try to win the Heisman as Hurts, Tua and Lawrence all have stories that help them get sentimental vote.

I agree but it wouldn't take much for them to start hyping him again. All it takes is two big games in a row and they'll be all over his dick again.

Hopefully, he will stay healthy, keep improving his skills, and make major contributions in winning the big games. Awards aren't important, sometimes almost a curse to some. Improving his draft stock and get drafted by a well-respected organization that will nurture his skills, provide him with supportive players to make him a great quarterback for years to come.

There is no reason why you can't do both.

People on this site are severely under valuing just how much Joe being in the Heisman talk is helping LSU, and the culture change that is underway (with the QB position and the offense in general).

It's free advertising. It's free recruiting noise. Having your brand being talked about like it is right now is PRICELESS.

Win the game first. Win the game first. Then, and I'm going to say it, get Joe his stats (if he needs it).

Burrow is going to have to play like a Heisman winner for us to go undefeated

Let the Heisman work itself out. Just play to win. Joe is GOAT whether he wins the Heisman or not.

If we keep winning and beat Bama, it’s Hurts vs. Burrow for Heisman. Tua would be out, Lawrence is already out. Voters would have to decide if they’re going to keep giving the Heisman to whoever plays QB for Lincoln Riley.

Can we just kill all Heisman talk? I bet everyone thought Fournette was on his way in 2015. Did you not learn your lesson that year?

At the end of the day, if we don’t keep winning (and somehow beatbox alabama which we are a 10 point dog to now), all the talk is just dumb.

How bout just enjoy his great performances and let’s just keep playing really well? Ok, cool.
