Times Montana had a top 10 defense and STILL didn't go to a Super Bowl: 6

Only won when he had a top 10 defense and didn't always do that.

I value college football more than the NFL. I want him to win in the NFL but Dan Marino never won college football

Throwing 5 TDs and almost 400 yards just to lose is mind blowing. Zac Taylor should apologize to Burrow.

Legit question: do you know anything about NFL free agency? Are you aware that teams can lock a player out from ever reaching free agency, and the player’s only recourse is to sit out and lose years of their career?

No I did not know this is a thing. You are telling me that teams can prevent players from ever playing for a different team? How does that work?

Joe Montana had 4 Super Bowl wins and 3 Super Bowl MVPs, joe burrow will never come close to the accomplishments of Montana

Personally I felt the call to just set up for a 52 yard fg in over time when they had could have tried to advance the ball was a huge mistake. Bad call in my opinion.

The Dolphins weren’t a bad team when Marino played for them.

This is the single dumbest thing I’ve ever read on TD. Not too late to delete it and stop posting for awhile

He just explained why dumbass. If Joe Burrow had the defenses that Montana had with the niners then Burrow would most definitely have at least one Super Bowl right now. With a historically bad organization at that.

Stop moving the goal post for your argument, you clown. You said he wasn’t cut out for the league, which is a statement I dismantles, he is an above average QB in the league. No one called him Tom Brady or Joe Montana.

Plus he got hit more than any QB in the NFL over a 3 year stretch, so yes you are correct he was not able to finish seasons healthy.

Franchise tag. Never playing for another team would be an extreme outcome, but if you’re a premier player, the team that drafts you controls you throughout your prime years.

If he had confidence in the front office and ownership, he'd offer to redo his contract to free up $ to improve the D and lock down skill players

The only player in history to do this was Tom Brady, and he only did it after securing 4 of his rings.

Unlike Marino Joe can switch teams and pick who it is. The guys needs to stay healthy and find a decent franchise. I’d prefer the Saints but

A player can be franchise tagged a maximum of 3 times.

Bro signed a $50M/yr contract with a historically stingy and incompetent franchise. He knew what he was doing. I don’t feel bad for him lol.
