Get used to it. It's the same way all over. From what I've heard, the excessive amount of trash left on campus by tailgaters had something to do with this. Be happy that LSU isn't going the route that UGA is, by phasing out on-campus tailgating altogether.
I realize that tailgating is an LSU tradition, but it does seem like fans these days are more concerned with getting drunk than they are about the game itself.

Exactly. Tailgates have gotten way out of hand and way too big. They generate way too much trash. Some clean up after themselves, others don't. 90% don't see what the campus looks like after the game. Fans brought this on themselves. LSU had to do something.

Any poor people that will no longer be going to games due to having their self-assumed right to free parking revoked, let me know. I'm in touch with several people who are looking for season tickets.

Last year, I rolled in at 4/5, parked down Highland in or near the band practice field for free, and went straight in.
This, so I could go to kids soccer games, gymnastics, etc.
I need to be able to park late, so I really don't know what I will do this year.
It sure was easier when I could get out there at 8 am and just drink all day.

My only issue is how does LSU NOT frick this up? We have people that drive up from NOLA every week. If they have to wait in a line to buy a pass the day of the game it will be a total cluster frick north of Highland. I don't have a lot of faith in whoever they pay $8 an hour to sit out there and deal with the money/passes. They need to make these available via the Internet the same way you used to have to buy Spring Game tickets.

I am all for free parking, but if you want to bring a trailer of anytype...you pay 200 dollars.
Got to stop the furniture and other stupid shite from being dumped on campus.
Also, free parking to any vehicle with 4 or more passengers would be nice. Reward folks for taking up less space.

I like all the assholes that think everyone can afford to drop extra money to park!!! Not everyone is rich or even middle class!!! This is the same reason the fricking stadium is half empty by 3rd quarter!!! The average LSU fan cant afford to go to games and now its a bunch of bussiness tickets and they are not nearly as in to LSU as a true fan would be!! remember how much louder death valley was back in the day with smaller crowds! Thats because it was filled with the average LSU fan, but those same type of fans cant afford to go anymore!!! More so if you have kids, it would cost someone a week of work to try and bring their family to a game, so they will just sit home and watch it on tv!!! I know they will always sell tickets but it will never be the same passionate crowd that we are acusstomed to seeing in tiger stadium!!!! Just a bunch of stiff rich corporate guys who complain the whole game cause the person in front of him is yelling and standing when we score... Woo hoo im looking forward to this!!!
