Our D would have stunk again and CBK probably fired regardless

Underwood has looked like a true freshman most of the year. If he'd come to LSU, behind this OL, I don't see how it would have been anything other than a disaster. Next year Michigan's OL should be pretty solid, so we'll get a better sense of what kind of QB he's going to be.

Underwood isn't lighting things up at Michigan, FWIW.....His 2025 stats aren't as good as Nuss....

Had Bryce stuck with his commitment here

No one believed he would keep his commitment. He is from Michigan and was in likelihood using LSU as a bargaining chip. A better recruiter than Kelly would have seen through it and recruited another QB along side.

I am a BK fan. I thought he restored us to a good position after EdEaux had sunk the ship that Saban had built and Miles had maintained. I will go to my grave thinking his firing was a grave mistake and will sink us back to the early 90s. However one thing I will give his critics. He was a horrible recruiter and evaluator of talent coaching and player.

He was coming here to start day 1.

Nuss was transferring to Abilene Christian or Nichols

I do not think signing Underwood had anything to do with the additional NIL money spent. Nuss get close to 5 mil in NIL and Underwood 3.2

Is it true Sayin was coming to LSU before Underwood committed?

Wouldn't matter. He'd still be playing behind this OL. The worst group in the history of this program. They couldn't block me and my three kids.

Exactly. We’d be the same offense with a mediocre or bad defense. Probably lose to Clemson and UF as well and Kelly also gets canned in that scenario. The O-Line was a death knell to this season in any scenario. Should have used the money spent on the WR additions to lockdown the line. In hindsight it seems obvious considering the line turnover from last year and Nuss not being a mobile QB.
