Can you state for the record that you are in fact white?

That you are speaking on behalf of an entire race of people that you know nothing about that don’t want some self-loathing white knighting for them?

That just because 87% of your co-workers and 70% of your neighbors are black that doesn’t give you any additional insight?

Can you put yourself on record please sir?

We get that you think this is ok

I dont Agree.

I think These are overly zealous cops pulling a gun on a kid to MAYBE catch them with some pot?

Which they didn’t.

It will never change

Barring a complete overhaul of the justice system or blacks finally voting for their own interests to escape victim hood and the hood in general.

They are in a constant whirlwind but as I've gotten older it's harder for me to feel sorry when they keep voting for the same idiots and keep killing each other at such a high rate.

I'm very supportive they need a nuclear family and better education but they are voting for people that aren't diverting any funds or action to these causes. If they were then we would've seen a chance by now. It's been 60 years since the civil rights act and billions flow through department of education that number continues to expand but the results are the same.

You keep skipping over the fact that they didn’t just pull guns on them. Implying that’s what kicked off the encounter is disingenuous.

Cops don’t pull guns on people because they may have pot. They pull guns for a perceived or potential threat.

He wouldn’t have even been potentially threatened if he wasn’t over policing.

And I dont Blame the individual officer for that, but that’s what I think This is.

He wouldn’t have been doing his job of proactive policing if he didn’t investigate the suspicious behavior that is often indicative of a crime.

Sammy, there are plenty of police/sheriff's offices that have reserve programs and desperately need the extra staff (especially at peak times). They could use a good person like yourself to go handle all of the traffic stops, building searches, suspicious persons, fights, etc. with a level-headed guy like yourself who would never draw his weapon until actual bullets are headed your way. I can respect that. Do yourself a favor though, stay out of the NOPD's 7th district and JP's 2nd and 3rd, you'd be a liability.

So let me get this straight. The cop is bad for treating the situation as threat until he could see his hands but what Koy did by hiding and then not following the cops directions is ok right? He gets a pass I assume. This whole thing is so stupid. I’m a white guy and I would hope I got a gun pointed at me if I was being that big of a dumbass playing hide and seek with police and then not bothering to follow directions. That’s the cop making sure he is safe. He can’t read minds and tell if a person has hostile intent. Look at the big fat bitch that shot the cop at a routine traffic stop. Nothing about that situation said something bad was about to happen but it did.

I mean, disturbing the peace is a crime. Maybe the cops ignored the group of black people walking around because they were leaving the area whereas they found Moore and his buddy hiding behind a car. They had a duty to check that out because it is suspicious. Once you don't comply with a cop you put yourself at risk of having a gun pulled on you especially when you move your hand to your waistband after being given an order by a cop. Based on that the cops had every right to pull their guns until any potential threat could be removed. To say the cops had no reason to think Moore was acting suspiciously or had no reason to think there could be a potential threat is insane.

It is a crime.

Not one they were committing.

And I’ve been at parties broken up by the cops. I was Told to turn off the music not searched.

Wait...So, they didn’t pull a gun on you? You got off so lucky. Imagine if the situation was different and you were hiding from police and they told you to do something to ensure the safety of the situation. What would you do then? Would you have done what you were asked to do? I can think of multiple different ways that could go depending on the decisions you choose to make in that situation. So many choices! How is one to ever decide the right one?

they were searched because they were hiding behind a fricking vehicle and the officer thought they may have stashed something behind the truck. They then did not comply and put their fricking hands in their pockets. How dense are you? if they would've just walked down the ramp and behaved normally none of this would have happened. It has NOTHING to do with race. Assholes like you and Lester are the ones that make it about race.

The cops were called to investigate a noise complaint at 2am, right? LINK

Were you hiding from the cops behind a car when they showed up?

I agree here. In 99.9% of all these situations across our great nation that’s hitting the news, the suspects DO NOT COMPLY. That’s where escalation begins. If I am pulled over at 2am in the morning and cop says, give me your license and registration, put your hands where I can see them, step out of the car, etc. that’s just what I do. I wouldn’t want to be a cop in today’s society. shite job, shite pay, dealing with dredges of humanity day in and day out. Just do as asked and you will be fine.

Yes a 200 person party.

They were in fact not a 200 person party on the roof.

Idk maybe they just wanted to avoid interacting with the police.

If they were coming from the party why would the police stop them? They were literally there to break up said party.

Again, no crime being committed just overzealous cops.

And finally the “why didn’t they comply with the police” well they weren’t doing anything so They we’re probably confused as to why they had to.

We keep saying “just do what the police ask” but really we do that because we know we’ll get shot if we don’t. That’s fricked.

When the CDC tells you not to go home for Christmas y’all were listening to authority then. Because the CDC ain’t gonna shoot you.

Apparently following directions and having a smidge of common sense is racist now. Not surprised. I guess the cop should pay reparations to Koy in the form of his house, bank account and first born for raising his voice and invading his safe space.

Pragmatism is why you listen and he eventually did

Principles is why you’re pissed off about it later.
