but yeah he should feel bad, it was a routine play and he fricked up.
This is so wrong, the best thing he could do for himself and the team is to forgive himself and move on. Dwelling on past mistakes or failures will limit his opportunity at excellence.

He’s a human being. Y’all need to stop acting like none of you have made terrible arse mistakes in your life.

THIS!!!!!
I have refrained from criticizing Jay but this stunned me - in what world do you put Kling in as a pinch hitter?? - and moving Brown to right field to 'make room for him' made no sense either.
I haven't looked at that play - but I cannot conceive of how that happened - my first thought was there must have been some sort of interference from the stands, but that doesn't look possible.
such a sad ending for a future great Tiger - perhaps this will be a motivation point for his future.

Kling was put in to pinch run for Travinsky

Catch the routine fly ball in right and it might give people a reason to celebrate that home run in the third inning.
Of course the whole lineup went 5-36 on the day with two solo home runs.
White: 1-5
Milam: 0-5
Jones: 1-2 with two BB (the lone good batter on the day who hit a home run and got on base)
Pearson: 1-5
Braswell: 0-3
Neal: 0-4
Travinski: 1-4
Brown: 1-4
White, Milam, Pearson, and Braswell didn't show up at all tonight. But LSU still should've won the game. All they needed was to get through Gallaher in the 9th and the game is probably over. Instead they gave up a double.

Looking for good things from this kid in years to come. He's gonna give us some good memories of LSU baseball...hell, he already has me thinking homerun when he gets to the plate!

Quit moving our players around for Kling!
Take a breath dude. Kling is easily the best defensive outfielder we have.
Why are we bitching about him getting into the game?

As a former D1 outfielder he doesn't look comfortable in the OF. He doesn't get good jumps on the ball. In that play, he turns his hips correctly and has a good angle to the ball, however he never reaches out for the fence with his throwing hand. Thats taught at an early age to outfielders when they get to warning track. Find the fence.
At the last second, he squares up which is a no no because it makes you backpedal. Now he can't find the fence. If you slow the video down, you will see him flinch as he braces for wall contact. Then completely misses the ball. Routine, no, but very easily a caught ball.
Remember in a earlier game, can't quite remember. Shot to CF and he appeared to slip and ball went over his head. He didn't slip, his first step was in. Your taught that your first step is always back, then crash in.
Another play was 1st inning fly ball which he came to a stop and let the ball fall. Announcer made it seem that it would have been a tough play. Not if you get a jump on the ball.
I think given the situation of the OF's, he was thrown out there, hit the ball well or better than the others and stayed out there. is it his natural position, don't know, but he doesn't look comfortable.

I think people fail to remember we had 1 hit in 8 innings, we knew Carolina would start hitting at some point, theoretically yes Brown cost us the game but you got to blame the lousy plate appearances too. You also have to give credit to their pitcher for consistently nailing that low outside part of the strike zone that the ump was giving… The bats went cold when we could least afford it… dude was throwing straight fast balls with an occasional slider and we couldn’t hit it

I don't think he played much, if any, OF in high school. I could be wrong on that.

Agree. We had one hit in the final 7 innings. Had UNC not scored in the Top of the 10th, I would still would not have been feeling great about our chances. Carolina still had arms remaining in the bullpen and we were about tapped out.

Kid should immediately have his scholarship taken away. It was a sorry try to catch a an easy fly ball. The NC right fielder caught 2 fly balls in their 10th inning just to show LSU how to play right field. LSU needs to recruit a right fielder that will catch ball in big games.

Missing that ball is not ok and he would be the first to tell you that. Nobody feels worse than him. Harassing him on social media is not productive. No need to hold his hand either and say everything will be ok. He is a grown man so just leave it alone.
On to football season.

Everything happens for a reason....in a year or two when Brown is one of the leaders of the team we'll talk about how he came back from this one and it made him a better player. Not to mention, I really feel like the stadium layout in RC where the fence comes in unlike any other stadium played a big part in him being unable to find the fence and had him guessing.

This is why I didn't like that they put him in right field for the last inning so Kling could play Centerfield. (and the fact they pinch hit with Kling was even more head-scratching)
don;t think Brown had ever set foot in right field before that inning. NO awareness AT ALL of the physical geometry out there.
