Right, but I don't think there was miscommunication. Orgeron admitted he told Ensminger to call another run there.
Heat of the moment, he just wanted to make the score look better.
ETA: If you mean miscommunication to Brossette, then yeah, I don't know why they wouldn't explicitly give him the green light.

I understand the slide.
What I cant wrap my head around is the miscommunication from staff to players (NB). Why not go into victory formation after the slide? By continuing to run, you would think NB would have realized they wanted to score. But why didn't the staff yell at NB to SCORE? The second slide takes the cake of a complete cluster fk

What you should be more concerned about is this:
Whether Brossette was instructed to slide or not, once he did it victory formation was the only correct call. But Ensminger told O it was up to him. Well no fricking shite, he's the head coach. He's the head coach and he should no better.
Also, if we'd turned the ball over on the next play, he would have thrown Brossette under the bus with the quickness.

That's exactly it. All you have to do is send in a sub to tell Nick to score.

I agree. I edited my initial post after I hit submit.
Basically, Brossette did what he had been coached to do, without being told to not slide again, so the premise of this thread is stupid.
