Yes, good ideal I think it is. Tulane has improved enough under the new coach to make it a respectable game now. They should replace one of the Lil Sisters of the Poor universities on LSU's schedule every season that they play.

I agree. And if you ever get the chance, sit with some of the Tulane fans. They will get you drunk in the stands and have a good laugh with you. They will also wear their LSU jackets over their Tulane shirts.

Angus was a big Tulane fan but he got off some good ones on both sides. A:Call your doctor if it lasts more than four hours. Q: What is the warning that should be printed on the back of all Tulane football game tickets?

I remember one of those games from the 80’s that was stopped because of a fight. Tommy Clapp was on the Tulane sideline body slamming someone.

Those games were epic then. So much fun and the people really hated each other.

My favorite was spawned by the legislative scholarship scandal.

A: Because nobody would admit to being his relative.

Q: Why didn't Sherman Copelin award a legislative scholarship?

My second favorite...

A: Colin Powell and Eamon Kelly

Q: Name a retiree who should be a president and a president who should be a retiree

Screamin' Eamon actually called the Tines Pic and complained about that one.

I remember that fight. It was epic. I was in the south end zone stands a few feet from it. The thing I remember was Shawn Burks just leveling a Tulane player right in front of me. Good clean fun.

Tulane? Great rivalry?

No. And I say that as someone who started going to games in the 1960s.

Just no.

Their stadium actually holds about 23,000 seats -- and some of those seats are restricted view.

The last time Tulane was a great rival for LSU was sometime in the 1940s

BRING. BACK. LSU. TULANE.

Great rivalry. I remember 3 LSU vs Tulane games, in 1966, 1972 and 1973, in the old Tulane Stadium, that had well over 80,000 in attendance. The 1973 game had over 86,000 and incredibly, the VAST MAJORITY were Tulane fans! The stadium was rocking, and not in a good way for us in the stadium supporting LSU.

Why not alternate between Tiger Stadium & the Mercedes-Benz Superdome?

Maybe not every year but LSU should have a rotation of Tulane, La Tech, La Lafayette, and La Monroe.
