I’m glad there seems to be an attempt to connect with Ed’s players. I think most of them probably realized the writing on the wall as they went on to the league.

I’m glad to see the former players back on campus and I’m glad Brian Kelly is not treating the former players like Les Miles did.

I’ve seen comments about Miles and former players over the years. Is there a story behind that?

He wasn’t very welcoming to former players who played for Saban pre 2005

I’ll never understand how a new head coach does not embrace the tradition and great players of the past? Like WTF is the meaning of shunning them? Just no benefit at all...

Always a positive for the program to have guys back and around current players that are doing good things with life. I even like having guys back that are doing life like normal people with normal jobs so our players know that there are options for Happiness and success outside off the league.

I can imagine that appearing as dumb as you do takes a lot of hard work. If it comes natural than I really hope you don't reproduce.

Yeah, he basically implied to frick off to Saban's guys. I think this is a large reason why former players under Saban advocated for him heavily even after Miles got LSU's job. Miles basically middle-fingered them.

I was planning to post some humorous remark about Miles but it would’ve paled in comparison to this.

Good as long as the former players aren’t Ryan Clark.

Orgeron did something’s right, and a lot of things wrong, but one thing he absolutely nailed was welcoming back legacy players. Minus one particular heel.

He did this at Notre Dame....for two seasons. Then ostracized EVERY SINGLE FORMER PLAYER. Now that he's gone freeman has all the guys coming back.
