He’s earning every bit of his money that’s for sure. Now let’s see if he can finally get a team ready for game 1.

Ambition is not the problem with BK. He’s always been properly motivated

Not sure if thats misevaluation or development but this is the year show out or get out IMO.

Weak inherited roster + navigating the brand new transfer portal was not a good combo. They thought they had a solid philosophy,(like a lot of schools), but they didn’t, and have since adapted 2-3x over. It was exacerbated because the talent on the roster was poor.

They’ve found a sweet spot with transfers & incoming high school kids, and with the assistant coaches.

It’s almost at the point where it’s a matter of when not if. It’s just too much stacked on in LSU’s favor.

There’s almost zero excuses left to pull. CFP appearance is the floor.

LSU is a powerhouse not only in baseball but in football also so there’s no reason the Tigers shouldn’t be a problem every single season. The period of rebuilding that 2021 roster/staff is over. The time is now.

With the exception of Kirby Smart, no coach in the SEC has out performed Kelly in win % in the time he has been here.

Lane and Sark are right there on his tail.

Kelly is the best coach we’ve had since Saban. If you plugged him in during the post Saban era he wins at least 2 titles easily.

Some of yall are seriously way out of touch with reality. I always have to bring up our piers. Look at Oklahoma, Auburn and Florida. Those guys would kill to have the win totals LSU has had in Kelly’s tenure. Including a trip to Atlanta. Get real. He’s not a bad coach. It’s just not happened yet.

This is my personal opinion based off this week in lsu football. Brian Kelly will be the best coach in lsu history when he retires.(screenshot this)

You right, it damn sure woke up our entire NIL universe. We still might lose a few but we are NOT going out without swinging. CBK understands you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. I hated losing Bryce but it definitely woke the beast.

Not getting Bryce underwood was the turning point in lsu football history for what is about to occur....

All that being said - it is now time to get to that next level.

Sure, I agree. I have yet to see a person arguing against this. I just dont understand why it needs to be said so much after every time someone praises the job he has done. I feel like there are 2 groups of Kelly critics:

1. Those that are going to criticize him no matter what. They hate him. They can't see the good he's done. Only that he hasnt won a title.

2. Those that can recognize hes had success but cant wait until he finally does fail so that they can jump on board.

The constant reminders that this has to be the year or that there are no more excuses that always follow any praise of him is annoying. Everyone is on the same page here and no coach in America that has the staff and talent we have would escape criticism for missing the playoffs. Every coach in this situation would be expected to make the playoffs. But with Kelly everyone has to remind you of that if you give him any praise.

Should’ve gone harder in 2023 because he will never have another player like JD especially throwing to BTJ and Nabers. That was his year and may be his closest shot.

Half decent defense at least makes the playoffs that year.

One stop every game was all they needed. They couldn’t stop a dead man running through that defense.

I completely disagree. Without the Underwood defection, I doubt we would have as much cash to spread around to all the studs we've signed.

Also, not always, but more times than not, those primadonna types with unrealistic expectations fall flat on their blanking face.
