ND sure is not missing BK right now.

BK left them with 11 wins.

They haven't gotten to 11 wins since.

Stop acting like they got better after he left.

You seem to forget about the portal. He was able to get a Heisman winning Qb
I absolutely give him credit for getting a Heisman winning QB...let's not forget he ALSO brought in secondary players that couldn't cover their buttholes with both hands....let;s also credit him with the blame...he also let coaches from the last regime walk or fired them and brought in his own guys that couldn't coach high school football and he's now bringing some of them back

You don’t build a team in your image thru 2.5 recruiting classes on a ln inherited roster with 40 scholarship players lmao
this. Had he come in with a good 85 man roster I would expect more this year....but this was a COMPLETE rebuild.

1st 2 seasons were good

Coaches do good things and bad things and should get credit for both. But remember we are paying him 10 million a year and most of it is guaranteed so all we can do is hope he starts to make more good decisions than bad ones because we are tied to him for 5ish more years before we could realistically fire him.

I just want to see the team not look wide eyed and instead operate consistently and confidently. His first two openers, we looked like we just crammed the playback the week of and it didn't come together until week two.

I do not belive this team will even come close to making the playoffs
but
we keep recruiting like we are this year and I could see the next crop of players making mulitple playoffs

This is his third year.He wasn't left much but with the transfer portal and being eligible immediately I think you should be able to win by year 3.
Anything after year three are all judgement years.

Year 1 and 2 I never put that much stock into with a new coach unless the whole operation looks like a disaster. Year 3 no more excuses though. This is a team fully in the coach’s image and every Tiger fan will be watching intently on Sunday night with high expectations. We will have our answer soon enough if BK is the guy for this job. And the answer can still be yes even if we lose a tight game. I just want to see us play tough, physical, smart football.

I disagree with the year 3 criteria today like in the past because retaining players and NIL changed EVERYTHING most think about how college football teams are built and retained. LSU seems to have their NIL game together after the laws changed. It has taken 3 years to do that.
This isn’t like a transition he has ever experienced in his career nor is it like a transfer ANY LSU coach experienced.
This is not giving him slack for the defensive issues he experienced last season BUT how do you explain a very well respected DC and NFL LB coach not make connections with his team? People just looked at last season but never looked at that guys entire resume’. I applaud Kelly for getting rid of him.

With that I want to see what the 2026-2027 team does. He will have a team of veterans with dynamic QB and a stable program with players he recruited.

This year, while less transfers, it has taken a couple years to just get through what happened a few years back.

This will likely be a long and dissatisfying season. We no longer have the virtuoso Heisman-winning QB who single-handedly carried the team last year. The defense should be better than 2023's nauseating debacle of incompetence, but still mediocre in the absolute. We have a very difficult schedule. I expect we will lose the opener and finish in the range of 8-4. Frankly, LSU should always make a 12 team playoff field, but Kelly won't be fired for missing the playoffs this year. I do think he will face intense criticism if he doesn't earn a playoff berth next year, which would be justified. I was extremely optimistic about Kelly when he was hired, but less so now, given the repetitive errors his teams commit. As always, I'll be rooting hard for the Tigers every game and I hope 2024 is better than I anticipate.

I want your brothers opinion.
