Imagine trying to make Brian Kelly being plan B look like a negative for Woodward. 
Also HIGHLY unlikely Kelly was not Woodwards first and only aggressive target, beyond casual inquiries with actual backup plans.

The money is huge but I think he wants to win a Natty before he retires. And he has a better chance to win many at LSU over ND.

We will see once the official details go out. I don't think private universities don't have to disclose details. But LSU is public so must disclose the contract.

It's a lot of money for sure. I would pay that for Saban to come back to LSU for sure. IF BK brings LSU Natty's year after year, it will be worth it. IMHO.

According to another LSU website, it is supposed to be $15M for 5 years. SW must have been willing to pay that fat check over 5 years unlike the past 10 year contracts. Good move IMHO. I think BK took the 5 year contract because he wants a Natty before he retires and he has a better chance to do that at LSU.

That is my thinking also. With the talent available in Louisiana and Texas, BK will build LSU back to the top and if he sustains it, he will get an extension for more Natties.
