If he's a big, strong, violent man who can push around other men of similar traits, there is a place for him on the football team.

Yes, but he is already getting a full ride for basketball so no need to burn one in football. The real question is what were his football accolades? I would imagine that if he was a four or five star recruit that he would be playing football somewhere.

It doesn't matter if he is on scholarship, and plays football it counts against the 75 limit.

I wouldn't give him a scholly for football, but as a walk on I would definitely give him a shot... who knows he might be a monster on jump balls in the corner of the endzone from the 10-15 yard line.

It is not very aggressive though. Never was in high school. Hasn't shown it on the court in college.

Plus that high light in this threaf is the ONLY on he hard playing football

There's so much technique required to be a good DL mastered over years. Your post is stupid, albeit, but not as stupid as the 8 upvoting to no downvotes.

Some would say that being a competent left tackle is even harder and takes even longer. However, former college basketball player George Fant started at LT for the Seahawks this season after never starting a single game of college football.

The NFL >>>> SEC

Therefore, it is possible to make the transition if the player has enough athleticism and enough determination and willingness to learn.

Had he been in the FB program from day one on campus he might be a contributor by this point in his career.

Until this year our tight end were tackles with receiver numbers. Leslie didn't throw to the tight end they were blockers only. So he only missed one year of development.

Why is everyone so quick to assume TE and not Guard or Tackle?

He's 6'5, 285. Add 20 pounds and you've potentially got yourself a tackle.

If we've got a schollie to give from our small recruiting class this year, I'd rather give him one for one year than a walk-on scout team guy that won't ever have a chance to sniff the field.

If Bridgewater wants to try out, what is the harm, even if they give him a scholarship for football, assuming there is one available, it would be for just one year. Besides, having endured all these years in LSU basketball, he deserves a chance.

Give him a shot. He stuck it out with JJ, he could have smoked his way off the team and didn't.
