Remember when we got excited every time something positive was written about Jefferson at the Manning Camp?

Always liked Brennan. Rooting for him. Definitely a strong sign of maturity on his part.

Tom Brady was the ultimate backup at Michigan.

Till he wasn't

You do realize he was paid sponsorship money for that as an NIL deal. It was an advertisement for walk-ons no different than The General Insurance using shaq back in the day.

Our staff will choose the guy they feel gives us the best chance of winning, but for me personally…I’m rooting for Myles to be the guy. If the oline can do their job and give him protection, I think he’s got a shot to have the 2nd best single season for a QB in LSU history.

I agree with Kayshon Boutte who has seen more of Myles, Daniels, and Nussmeier's play than you, me, and the naked lady combined and who has far more riding on the success of the 2022 season than the vast overwhelming majority of people. As Kayshon Boutte has come out publicly and proclaimed that Garrett Nussmeier should be named the starter in the fall because Nussmeier is the one who will win the most games for LSU.

In fact, Kayshon Boutte says he likes everything about Nussmeier and that he does everything the coaches ask him to do the best. Thus, since Kayshon Boutte is LSU's best offensive player, then who am I to question his judgement? As his whole NFL grade depends on the success of 2022. So pardon me while I defer to Kayshon Boutte.

Now Daniels has a very mediocre arm, Myles has a very good arm, and Nussmeier has an elite arm. In fact, in the spring game, Nussmeier made several NFL level throws that both Daniels and Myles can only dream of throwing in their wildest wet dreams. Not only that but throughout the spring it was reported by various reporters that Nussmeier was the best and most consistent QB of the bunch.

Moreover, Daniels and Myles scored on just 2 of their 5 possessions. However, that final Myles' score, under normal SEC conditions would have been an interception in the end zone, as opposed to a score because Myles had under thrown that ball which then miraculously got batted into Malik Nabers hands for the score by Sage Ryan.

Meanwhile, Nuss was the only QB of the bunch to score on all four of four of his possessions. He moved the ball down field far faster, far smoother, and far more effective relative to the other two QBs. As Nuss' drives took far less plays relative to both Daniels and Myles' drives.

Sure Daniels and Myles have more playing experience relative Nussmeier, but Nussmeier more than makes up for it because he is far more talented than either of the other two QBs.

Also, Nussmeier has been coached up by his NFL quarterback coach dad for his entire life who has also imparted on his son all of his own personal knowledge and experience and in which is far more valuable than either Daniels or Myles playing experience.

Max Johnson hit the transfer portal as soon as the regular season ended last year because he knew he would inevitably lose his starting job to Garrett Nussmeier.

The next Tom Brady. No doubt in my mind. Burrow’s NFL career will be a footnote next to Brennan’s when all is said and done.

Just in how he has handled himself the last 5 years even if the NFL wasn’t/isn’t in the cards if I was a betting man Brennan will be a winner at Life for sure.
We need as many Tigers as we can get that handle themselves like Brennan has. True class act all the way.

How can anyone NOT pull for this guy. In the modern era, no one stays around for a sixth year. He is mature, smart, competitive & talented with leadership qualities. Potentially, this is another Tom Brady story being written.

Too far. I get your point and was with you until you compared Myles Brennan to Tom Brady. Come on dude. Get real here.

Read this like an episode of "Hard Knocks" with that deep voice narrator and the intense music in the background.
Good stuff.

Ok, so is every backup going to become a 7 time Super Bowl winner? There will NEVER be another one.
