Hmmm...... last post I read of yours I believe you said LSU will beat the brakes off BYU. I kind of thought that last fall when I had to pay my local Italian buddy $1,100.00 when we shite the bed against a bunch of slow white boys from Wisconsin. Now Brennan will start. Is this all you got today? C'mon man, surely you got something better than this to rile up the natives.

Everyone is learning a new system. Whichever QB picks up the system best and runs it well should start. Screw seniority. I like Etling a lot but if he doesn't run Canada's system well and Myles does it better, start Myles and vice versa.

I remember when everyone thought Harris would be the savior and needed to start too.

With that said, although it's tough as a true freshman QB, I wouldn't rule out Brennan pushing for playing time this year. I like Etling and he did a good job overall last year considering the production we had been getting from the QB position, however, there aren't any guarantees. Hurts started for Bama and they went 14-1 last year. You play whoever gives you the best chance to win the most games. Now that we have a seemingly competent person working with the QBs, our QB development should be much better. But most haven't seen Brennan even throw a pass in practice, so any bold predictions aren't based on much.

I'm tired of reading comments like the above. If the LSU qb is playing better than mediocre, there aren't calls for him to be replaced.

2013, no one called for Mettenberger to be replaced.
2011, no one (except for Les) called for Lee to be replaced.
2007, hardly anyone called for Flynn to be replaced.
2006, hardly anyone called for Jamarcus to be replaced.
2003, no one called for Mauck to be replaced.


But yes, if the qb's are playing mediocre or worse, there will be calls to give the backup a shot.


Disclaimer: I have no opinion on the 2017 qb because I've never seen any of our qb's in a Matt Canada offense.

There's no doubt in my mind Brennan would have an excellent shot at starting quarterback in the previous offense. I'm just having trouble picturing Brennan running a fast pace option type offense Canada is installing.
