Max will be backup. Nussmeier will redshirt. TJ is 3rd string or goes into transfer portal.

quote:

Brennan was the most efficient of the four signal-callers in the first half, going 11-of-15 passing for 106 yards and a 39-yard touchdown pass to Kayshon Boutte. He was poised, accurate and made few errors. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Brennan seemed like he could make all the throws after coming back from a season-ending abdominal muscle tear in 2020.

nothing like watching brennan stand in the pocket like the statue of liberty until he gets sacked.

at least max will get the hell out of there.

I would agree with this. I also think it’s easier to manage the QB room this way. I think Finley sees the writing on the wall and he’s gone regardless. If Max is named the starter Myles likely transfers out. You’re down to Max and Nuss. With Myles starting you have him, Max, and Nuss. Which is a really good QB room.

I think both will play this Fall but Max will be the ultimate #1 due to mobility...

Tell the truth, you haven seen a single play from the scrimmage. And if you did your an asshat of a talent evaluator.

Maybe so. But it could very well be Max. I hate the posters who watch the spring game and make a firm decision on who it should be. Their performances yesterday were both nice, and if you think one did better than the other it’s splitting hairs. The coaches see these guys 100x more than we do so let’s let them decide.

He still couldn’t deliver in the red zone, on the goal line, or on 3rd down.

With the new transfer rule and red shirt rule in place, there is no guarantee that a back up won't transfer or play the whole year.

I'm not sure how much more Max Johnson could have done in the 2 games he played. If he gets passed up, I would not assume he stays or plays the whole year.

You manage the room by playing the best guy

Not hoping guys don’t leave

You're such an idiot. Brennan played in 42 games in HS. Stats: 188 carries 1,141 yards. 6.1 avg. 23 rushing TD'S.

He's not running or doing QB sneaks on the goal line in a Spring game coming off the abd injury.

You think Myles is a runner lol

He wasn’t to begin with, but will not even try anymore after what happened to him last year.

Shut the hell up. Brady is a fricking statue, Brees, Rivers, Montana, Manning.. Brennan actually looked good scrambling yesterday if you actually watched the fricking game.

Athleticism shouldn't be the end all be all. If thats the case then Nuss should start..

i don't give a got damn how he runs. if you don't have pocket presence, you'll get your arse smashed. that's what he lacks. he can't feel the pressure AT ALL. sitting duck.

his arm is beautiful but, he'll take a sack better than anyone i've ever seen.
