Danny is the QB until someone can take it from him or he is injured and cannot play. People just need to deal with it. I have a gut feeling that Danny will do well if Canada's offense is like his previous jobs. I think this team is going to surprise a lot of people.

I will tell you one thing, LSU is the greatest team ever at recruiting back-up QBs. It appears that each year since 2007, our back-up QB has been Heisman worthy.
But what's strange is whenever they actually play, they immediately regress and the new 2nd string is the GOAT.

The best QB at LSU is always the backup.
I love how LSU "fans" will latch on to a guy and then bitch and moan that their guy doesn't get the ball enough.

Some of you guys act like Brennan was a 5-star #1 QB prospect and Top #3 overall player. Relax...he will get his chance to get in line & compete for the job next fall.

No, we all realise that Brennan was only a 4* and only ranked #4 pro style QB by some recruiting services but here is the difference maker that can not be overlooked. In every instance, Elite 11 and the Nike Opening he was chosen team captain and starting QB in the 7on7 competitions. Furthermore, in both the MS/AL All Star game and the Under Armor All American game, Brennan was chosen by his team mates as team captain and BOTH head coaches chose him to be the starting QB for each game. If nothing else this illustrates that his talent at that level was obviously above the rest or the coaches would have started another QB and his leadership qualities are such that they will certainly help to excell him up the LSU depth chart faster than some seem to think. Let it also be known that I personally hope we win a NC with Etling as our QB and allow Brennan an extra year to muture and learn before he leads this team. But rest assured he is the future leader of this team..

I don't remember the Tommy Banks debate? He got significant playing time and did well. No one ever suggested he should get the ball more instead of Faulk/Mealey. And I don't recall a backup FB that should have replaced him. What was the Great Banks debate?
