Injuries??

I talked to his coach over the summer. And not to put a gris gris on Brennan, but his coach said Brennan has never been injured. He has not missed a single game or a single practice since 7th grade when he was qb in junior high all the way through his senior year.

That's the difference between a pro style and a dual threat QB. The coaches will not call a zone read or qb draw with a pro style quarterback. Or at least not as part of the game plan. All his running will be done to expand the pocket, extend the play and keep his eyes down field and make the defense pay for their mistakes. If the throw is not there he will throw the ball out if bounds or slide down and get ready for the next play. That's how he made it this far without an injury. He avoids contact and throws the ball to the guys who get paid to run with it.

And will likely be leading the Tigers in '18.
Redshirt and get on the training table young man.

Just want production at the QB position.

I think it's likely both him and Narcisse redshirt this year to get their bodies ready for SEC play in 2018.
If he's at 200 pounds + for fall camp, he'll not redshirt. He's too advanced a QB to sit.

Wadda ya know, LSU finally has a freshman QB that's a real QB, not a running back trying to play the QB position.

you can tell that from that shot? the neck up? he's at 190 now. When he first starts in 2018, he'll be at 215. When he leaves, probably 220-225.

He was about 15 feet away from me at the Spring Game. I'll be absolutely stunned if he doesn't redshirt. He is very thin.

Have you still not learned yet that qb play at the high school level doesn't mean one is going to step into a major conference and be ready to go right away?

He may indeed work out in fall camp to where he can be #2 or #3, but my money is def. on a redshirt year. Which isn't a bad thing.

200 lbs at 6'4" is still pretty thin.

I'm 6'2", 200 lbs and would get broken in half I think

He played at a 3A boarding school. A little different than SEC football. Not trying to be a downer but we can't judge him off what he did in high school

To be fair, he also looked really good at Under Armour practices. He has the arm strength, accuracy, size, and most importantly the dedication to his trade craft.

I think he'll be solid for us, but needs a couple thousands cheeseburgers first.

I watched him at the MS-AL game and he played terrible. I'm not trying to down him because to be honest I really want him to start over Etling but some people are making this kid sound like the next Peyton Manning and he isn't there yet

Yeah, I didn't see that game. Sucks he played bad.

I agree he's not Peyton Manning or someone on that level.

I just think he'll be a solid QB for us.

Jesus. He should be able to avoid some sacks pretty easily. If he turns sideways he will just disappear.
