Doesn't Giles have to sit out this season?

I like your enthusiasm dude, but Marshall will be a frosh in college just like all the other past top WR's that LSU has had before him, this isn't HS ball anymore and that means he will struggle and probably won't even see the field much. In the mean time they'll have issues with a pissed off Dee Anderson who was upset about his lack of PT this season, and rightfully so, this kid could have been LSU's top WR going into next season. But some of these posters are talking about the inexperience factor at QB going into next season, and Canada looks to be definitely gone for who knows whatever dumb arse reasons, so, there is an unknown factor there. I just said yesterday that Giles is a really good WR coming from TTech, but I'm sure he's wondering right now did I make the right decision for my career. But yeah, the young defense should be much improved next season and will be fun to watch I think.

It is going to be funny when the offense improves next year. Just another bashing point by you guys that claim the offense is in turmoil, even though administration and recruits have known for some time now what is going on. That doesn't fit your agenda though.

It is funny...the rant panics, but those on the inside know what is going on, and marshall still came. Again, doesn't fit the bashing panic agenda to say Lsu had a plan and is following it. Kinda funny you think Dee Anderson won't do well or try because he had limited playing time. You and I think differently. I'm the one that is out to prove naysayers wrong. I guess you sulk up and quit.

12' had high expectations, but didn't actually get there until Alabama.

I know someone else who "sulks up and quits" when he doesn't get his way.

Well it sure as hell ain't me. Amazing some of you posters will do and say anything to badmouth the team you say you love. The coach is the coach, whether you or I like it or not. I tend to support those until I feel I can no longer do so due to results. Finishing in the top 10, potentially, for the first time in six years, sure as hell doesnt diminish that support....it gives reason for optimism when you consider the new ol coach and recruits in the trenches.

Crazy how with a now eligible transfer and one recruiting class, D-line depth has gone from a liability to an asset. Can’t wait to see the D unit as a whole next year. Nasty. Don’t think Moo U is gonna like their treatment by said defense in ‘18.

Offense is loaded with potential, but unproven, talent. Continuity with MC leaving is going to be an issue as well. Can’t understand why we couldn’t put a 4 receiver set on the field this year - that’s troubling. Hoping for the best but I’m afraid the defense will be forced to carry the bulk of the load next year.

It will be difficult for this defense to get over the loss of Aranda to A&M. I suspect a down year for them.

I say Better next year

We lost a lot
On defense this year and our #1 player was hurt and recovery from that all year.

White is getting better and Better
Taylor looked good. Issues were between the ears and experience. Phillips flashed here and there too.

Chaisson can be really good if he just stops overthinking and let’s it rip.

Greedy is a freak and if he doesn’t improve at all he’ll still be the best CB in the country. I think 1 of Tolliver or Jackson will come back if not CB is probably our best recruited position.

Deloitte will look better with another year and I think Battle is coming back. If not Todd and Stevens are waiting in the wings

We should be stout as hell on the DL Fehoko, Lawrence Alexander, Tyler, and logan

along with a better defensive line !!!!

Questionable. We lose Lacouture, Gilmore and Herron. We replace them with the shiny things we’ve never seen before. You WILL be dissapointed with the two Texas Tech transfers. I’m not saying they won’t be good, but they will not be All SEC type players.

Lacouture was a friggin stud - not just this year, but for all four years he played. He was severly underrated by LSU fans. Gilmore had a very solid senior year, and Herron - always undependable - was still good depth from time to time.

I think the defensive line is LIKELY to be a little better and a little deeper. A lot will depend on Alexander’s willingness to get in shape. So far, he has been disappointing in that regard.

Every year we talk about the defense, and how great they’re going to be, and usually they are.

Never, ever st LSU do we talk about how great the offense is going to be next year...why?

They will be better next year, and the biggest reason is the young players who got time this year will be a year older.

We'll have an all american at each level; people are fretting about the SR's leaving the DL, and dont get me wrong, they were solid this year, but Rashard Lawrence is our best DL and will be an All American. Fehoko has a great motor and will be a good addition. Shelvin is another body. Glen Logan & Alexander both got good reps this year.

Devin White at LB is an all american. Corey Thompson played well at LB, but his pass rush production was built on blitzes, ie the coaches putting him in a position to make plays. Next guy up, lets go. Whoever replaces Alexander will be an upgrade.

Greedy is our All american in the defensive backfield. We'll lose 2 CBs to the draft and the best one is going to come back. How often does that happen? Heres to Kristian Fulton getting his shite straight. Kary Vincent got good reps and Delpit covers like a corner. Not worried about safety at all. Ed Paris getting another year would be great

I love Greedy He is very good, but he was not our best corner this year, nor will he be the best in the nation next year.

And which of our zero committed conerbacks makes you say this is our best recruited position? I realize Surtain and Goodrich would fill that need nicely, but we’re not sure of those yet.
