Maybe UGA too. They are all pretty equal (to me at least).

Sprint, where do you live in Columbus? I lived in Worthington from 2000-2005. Anyway, this is a game between two good/flawed teams (I joined the two words on purpose). Our top RB at the moment, Ridley, runs with some determination if not a lot of flash, and if Shepard learns some plays and Holliday totes as he did versus Arky, maybe we can put up some ground yardage. But most of our offense will come from passing.

On defense, one way or another we'll give up a lot of yards and # of plays. IF PSU's RZ offense is good, they could put up some points on us. On the other hand, only one conference opponent put up as many as 30 points against us, so maybe we can keep the scoring in check. As I've written before, God must be a Tiger fan, because we could've easily been 6-6 this season, and He even gave us a chance to win a 10th game, which we declined. Maybe He'll be wearing P&G in Orlando.

This is anybody's game. It

I don't think it will be interesting. I think it will be an LSU blowout. I would like to see JoePa crap his pants though.... that would be interesting

I live in Dublin

Also it's worth noting that I've seen a lot of JoePa's career stats thrown round, or his recent record thrown around. For those who don't know JoePa basically does nothing from a coaching stand point. His son Jay actually has a much bigger role within the team than Joe, TBH. He's the epitome of figurehead right now.

probably already happened, but the coaching (strategy, play calling) between them will be what is interesting for me.

...more like the Arky/LSU game IMO, don't see it going OT though

Penn State boasts maybe the best linebacking core in the country. That's really their strength

Good yes, best in the country? Not by a long shot. Case in point is losing by 17 to a team that only completes 8 passes (because your front 7 cannot stop the run).

They are good, but overrated

wow...recon from our Ohio "spy"...

man, intra-conference hate in the Big10 can be vicious...much like the LSU/Ole Miss rivalry.

good post, nonetheless.

Nothing viscious, just calling it like I see it I'd be pretty happy if Penn St was able to get the win, make no mistake about it - just don't think that's going to happen.

Anyway, I agree with most of your points. I do think Clark is really overrated, as well. I don't think PSU's DL is as bad you're making them out to be, but they may not be "good" either. I wouldn't call them mediocre, though. But other than that, I basically agree.

I could really see the game going either way, though. Both teams have pretty much taken care of business in games they were supposed to, but had troubles in the really tough ones (I don't know if @ Ole Miss is "really tough", but it's certainly not easy, and LSU basically screwed themselves at the end).

Thanks for the insight, dude. We appreciate it. Question: I know Penn State shows up for home games but how well do they travel? Anybody heard anything about that?

Honestly, with the great post above by post...the only thing I would disagree with this that LSU will/should win by more than a little more. Other than that...great post...well said!

I see the score:

LSU 31
Penn St. 7

I think Penn State will struggle to score, LSU's defense is very staunt and will do so against PSU.

I just can't see LSU winning by more than two TDs. I honestly think it will come down to the wire, and either team could win, but neither team will win by 3 scores.

Then again, I thought GT would beat the Tigers last year, so...

I thnk our lbs do a great job and the four we rotate usually play well. Our dbs are just on another level. I just hope we can run the ball cus ridley is young and our oline sucks, but they should get plenty of reps until then.

either team's offense could give PSU fits IMO. In fact I think PSU goes 7-5, no better than 8-4 against the Tiger schedule while I believe that LSU could have run the table against PSU's schedule, possibly losing one to either OSU or Iowa at home.
