I'm a huge Brandon Harris fan. He busted his arse for LSU Football on and off the field.
He came to my son's youth football camp out in Gonzales. The LSU starting QB threw a pass to every single kid. I remember thinking there's no way he's going to throw 60 something passes to these clumsy little frickers.

But he embraced it! Then he threw some nice bombs to Malachi Dupree who came as well.
Then they spoke to our kids. Statistics and success aside, when these guys represent LSU, they are HUGE role models to thousands of young football players in Louisiana.

Why not? Pretty sure he did everything right enough to become qualified for it like anybody else.

Why do people think because he wasn't good on the field, that it meant he couldn't be good for the sport in other aspects? I always expected him to become a coach or something of football ever since I heard him in high school.

So are we just going to ignore the myriad of awful to mediocre former QBs who are now coaches out in the college and NFL world? Many of whom couldn't get past the high school QB stage?

I like it, and hope he becomes really successful in whatever he does in football. Maybe he becomes the best at whatever he finally ends up doing, and comes back home to LSU 10 years down the road as a hot commodity. For example Dabo caught 7 passes in his Alabama career. He became a GA then a TE coach then a WR coach there and that later led him to Clemson, and the rest is history.

I really thought he was gonna be the one. He showed flashes of greatness and seemed to say all the right things off the field. But for whatever reason he just never got his game performance together. Maybe you can blame Miles’ system. Dunno. But very happy for him and I believe he has the perfect mentality for this. He’s a great talker.

I think he may be as qualified as most and besides why not be happy when an LSU guy gets ahead. It really does not concern us.
