but that besides my main point, this kids body lanquage (the frosh QB) is much more confident than Harris'. He's playing and looking like how Harris used to look his freshman year at LSU.

I agree, so far

Harris probably already feeling he's lost his job again.

Wonder how long it is before he tweets "you smart" to a transfer of that team.

He still isn't in dang done after two series. But he looks like he hasn't changed at all. Still doing the same dumb things he did at LSU

Surrat is in again. Looks like his job to lose. Sucks for Harris that he's done after 2 series. But as long as Surrat isn't looking overwhelmed it makes more sense for UNC to go with the RS SO over a grad transfer.

Surrat is much more of a run first type of QB mentally, but it doesn't matter he's playing with much more confidence than Harris right now.

On that play there you recognize that the CB is coming in from the left side and roll out to the right to buy more time for a WR to come open or use your legs and take off and run. Just don't stand there and take the damn sack like you're helpless. Lol

He stood there because they had enough guys to block the blitz. The RB completely whiffed on the defender. It happens.

I'm not suggesting Harris is markedly improved, just pointing out that play is a poor example one way or the other.

At the bowl game in Nashville, I specifically went early to watch warm ups.

I have never seen a college QB look as bad as Harris did.

I watched him overthrow five straight receivers on timed curl routes, where the receivers literally shook their heads with one of them actually lifting his hands up demonstratively after the ball sailed well over him.

It's one thing to have trouble making good decisions, but when your accuracy w/o pressure is that inconsistent, you will never succeed at this level.

I am truly hoping he finds his way, but it's not going to be on the football field at QB at this level.

I gotcha, but I played ball and I'm just saying that's what I would have done. I'm just not gonna stand there and let the DB come at me and give him a easy sack. I'm roll out to my right to avoid giving him a sack while looking down field to see if a wr has come open, if not I'll side step a DL and take off running. But Harris confidence is fricking shot, if he doesn't get that back his season is pretty much done.

It's tough to watch a guy struggle due to a lack of confidence. Tools are there, for the most part. Accuracy obviously is an issue, but combined with his confidence issues, it's super tough sledding.
