Been watching the Saints and LSU since 2001. LSU 2014 - 2016 was the most frustrating viewing experiences I had as a fan. I damn sure watched every game, but it was incredibly difficult at times.

Perfectly said.

I mean yeah, when the fans know what’s coming based on formation and situation what do you think Nick Saban knows?

f Harris was any good, he would have shown it in UNC's system that Fedora ran.

Harris had some talent, but not enough to miss spring ball and then go in and do well the following fall. he'd have been much better off with a redshirt year after his transfer. not an ideal scenario, but I think he could've found a program to let him do it.

Wow, you go all the way back to 2001? What a fountain of wisdom you must be.

Does Harris think we don’t know this already?

I’d rather Harris explain why he was so terrible to start the 2016 season after all offseason. Those throws and presnap reads against Wisconsin in the 2016 opener were god awful.

And that’s his fault for not going to a spread offense out of high school... but maybe spread offensive people didn’t think he was good enough.

Brandon Harris
I know he had a rough go of it, but I always thought he was an excellent young man. This interview with Doucet only underscores that. I wish him luck in whatever he does.

Absolute worst was going into the 2016 season how everything was supposed to change and the offense was being revamped, etc etc etc...

Then we got that shi*t 14-16 game against Wisconsin to open the season where the DEFENSE even had to score 7 of our 14 points. Less than 300 yards of offense against freaking Wisconsin, just infuriating.

That was when I really started to dislike Miles because the feeling was that he was just stubbornly rubbing it fan’s faces, that he was damned if he was going to actually change anything. I still can’t believe people actually wanted to keep him.

Brandon Harris on 2015 season: teams were calling their plays before the snap

Yep, I was doing this as well. Film was very easy to study and pick up on tendencies etc...I correctly called out most plays before the ball was snapped.

My middle son went to Bama for two years. The Bama players were pretty open about knowing every LSU play before we ran it..

Whats your sons name?

The fricking hubris of Miles to be THAT CLOSE to getting fired, vow to make changes, then roll out the exact same system in the Wisconsin game...didnt feel bad at all when the day finally came

Last season was full of so many truly wonderful things and moments.

Not too far down the list was the constant lambasting of Miles and/or LSU’s prior archaic offense under him by the announcers throughout the season. Like “Yeah! Stick it in deeper!”

Les Miles didn't make him overthrow a wide open TE for essentially a pick 6 against Bama derailing that season. He did shite like this all the time, getting his receivers killed.

frick him, he sucked at UNC too.

Yeah and Ensminger was still doing this until Brady came. We ran that same shite under O until last season.

And that 2016 team was stupid loaded.

Fournette and Guice at RB.

Dupre, Dural, Chark, Gage at WR

Godchaux, Key, Beckwith, Duke Riley, Tre White, Kevin Toliver, Jamal Adams. All 8 of those guys were starters on Defense and were starters in the NFL in their 1st or 2nd season.

Not necessarily. He spent 3yrs not being developed here, it's a bit late the game to think someone can just suddenly get better when they have only a few months before the start of the season.

ok, Harris was not an elite QB.

Miles either had no idea how to develop his skills or most likely did not recruit well when it came to QB's.

matters not now. Miles should have been cut in 2015. earlier than that in my book.

Burrow had a ton of balls dropped in 2018– that was what began the 10,000 catches summer of 2019

Is that his excuse for missing wide open receivers?

Years ago, I talked to a kid in my neighborhood who played at Miss State and he said the same thing - that Les’ offense ran only a handful of plays that were easy to figure out.

It still blows my mind that people were opposed to Les Miles being fired. LSU squandered many seasons with Miles at the helm.
