Braker was hurt going into ole miss. Don’t know his status. Younger Weeks played some last night at LB.

Wasn’t Braker moved to DE and Jimcolly moved to Star? I suppose one or both of them could move back for depth.
FWIW: Keys was the second leading tackler in the SEC last season.
Tylen Singleton is one that balls out when he comes into the game and Zach Weeks looks good when he gets his chances.
The things that really hurt with the Weeks injury are attitude and leadership

He makes mistakes for sure and will get better. That’s why I agree with your question on whether they’ll move Jimcolly and Braker. However, for all I know, they might be further down the depth chart than Zach and Tylen.

Deep enough for what? To complete a game? Dottery + Keys is still a nice SEC LB duo. If Keys goes down and it’s Dottery + any of the other LBs you mentioned, big step down. But if Dottery goes down (and he’s been hobbled since the Tech game, maybe the end of the Clemson game), Keys + any of the guys you mentioned is a HUGE drop off.
I think people are really poo-poo-ing the Ross injury. Does it really matter on September 28th? Not really. Could it on October 28th? Yes. November 28th? Absolutely. We play McNeese then 7 straight SEC games (with a bye, of course). The coaches can scheme and duct tape some shite together when a couple of starters go down. It’s when their backups start going down and we’re running out little Weeks and Moses against Bama or Texas that it could get ugly.
Not that Jimcoily or Braker would make a big difference. I’m not arguing against you and saying they should move them now. I’m arguing against the “everything is fine” attitude some people seem to be having about these injuries. They are adding up. And we still have 7/9 of our SEC schedule left. It doesn’t matter how good Lane, Charlie, and Baker are. We are a couple more injuries away from this season getting super sideways. We are going to have to have a lot of injury luck from here on out to keep this thing on the tracks. There’s a world where we go 8-4 and it’s the best coaching season of Lane’s entire career.

Braker was moved to DE in fall camp for a week or two but in the end they were happy with the depth there and moved him back to LB. They werent happy with what Jimcoily brought to the star with the few snaps he took. He would likely be better off at LB. Braker has been a bit banged up but would likely be ahead of Weeks and Moses at LB when healthy. Ross was a big loss to LB depth, next man up after singleton.
