When I think of where to go to find inside info on the LSU Basketball program, Jena is the first place that comes to mind.

you could not be more wrong jackass.

he just won a title in 2024 and we are retooling for a run next year once JT is back healthy again.

LSU’s a sleeping giant in basketball. Just needs the right guy to wake it up.Bookmark it. Screenshot it. Tattoo it on your forehead. Brad Stevens to Baton Rouge is more real than y’all think
LSU Basketball has always been a firm #2 in my LSU Pecking Order and it's been frustrating/infuriating to witness the current Modus Operandi of the program.

The PMAC needs to be like the AC was back in the late 70's and early 80's. LSU Basketball was an EVENT just as big as football. Seriously, LSU Basketball games were just as anticipated as LSU football. The Assembly Center was always jam packed and rockin! Ask anybody that was there and I know there a few on here right now.

WE need to get back to that and it aint happening with McHallman. One more Lame Duck season and then the repair begins. Stevens would be a good choice and a few others. (I did Basketball Band in 80 & 81, in addition to Tiger Band )

The only thing I believe here is if McMahon doesn’t make the tournament, he’s toast

He should already be out at this point (would’ve happened at 90% of other Div-I programs) but even if he missed the tournament this year, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a grass roots effort to still keep him.

“His NIL isn’t established yet. He needs more time.” As this currently dead program moves further away from resuscitation

Nah this is his 4th year here and NIL is made to speed things up. Also he hasn’t had a single good year. If he doesn’t make the tournament that’s another bad year. Can’t imagine anyone significant backing to keep him. Also considering how long he’s been here his buyout is doable at this point

NIL money’s flowing, talent’s in the region, and let’s be honest — he’d OWN the portal here.

In today’s NIL world, you can’t fund them all and departments have to pick. For LSU it’s football, baseball and women’s basketball. Men’s basketball will never be funded to the level it needs to be to compete like the three others mentioned.

Find it very hard to believe LSU would be a destination for a coach at that level.

It could be plausible if he finds the SEC attractive. It’s a pretty saturated market at the moment and out of the programs with potential openings, LSU is a big-money school that has shown plenty of potential in the recent past.

If the SEC isn’t a major draw for him, Woodward would have to money whip him to get him here. But he’s a rare coach who is actually worth doing it for. He’s proven that in college and in the NBA.

Brad Steven’s is above LSU basketball IMO. He could pick whatever blue blood school he wanted, and many would fire their coach for him

Agree. We can be a very good basketball school, but he would get a job at a UNC, Duke, Kansas type school. Not that they have openings, but that's the level job he'd get in college.

With a new arena coming and NIL being in a pretty good spot, we would be an attractive destination for a coach though if McMahon fails to produce a miracle turn around.
