Exactly. Laird slid right into the tag. It seemed like he could have slid away from the tag and been safe.

laird didn't just slide right into the tag, he stuck his back foot in the dirt and slowed up as he got to home plate. if you see the catcher planting to the left of home plate, why in the hell are you sliding to the same side
