Talk about rewarding mediocrity.

Bowls are about ticket sales and tv ratings.

Saw a tweet that says tamu to outback. @MandyWRAL: Chick- Fil-a bowl source says the bowl expected to have Texas AM/duke. The Outback surprised them by taking TAMU, so CFA bowl changed mind. Anyone know otherwise?

I saw the same tweet. All I know is that LSU fans will be ready to run Joe Alleva out of town (if we get passed over again by a team with a worse record, that we beat head to head).

Not sure Alleva really has much he could do about it, but our fans will still blame him.

Bowls aren't about "rewards." The only bowl that's a reward is the BCSNCG, and perhaps some of the other BCS bowls. Bowls are about money, ticket sales, TV ratings. That's where JFF. I've told yall for weeks A&M would get selected before LSU.

He may not be able to do much, but the perception is that he doesn't even try. Both A&M and USCe's ADs have been very vocal in recent days about where they prefer their teams to go and not go. Alleva has been silent, as usual.

I'm not really sure which is "better".

I recall watching Chick-Fil-A previously more than Outback. Chick-Fil-A is a 7/8pm kick-off and has no other head-to-head games in that slot IIRC.

Some (Aggies) want Outback more, but frankly, I think the airfare prices to ATL and playing Duke (or whoever from ACC) in Chick-Fil-A would work for me!

If aTM indeed is selected by Outback, Chick-fil-A Bowl will select UGA before LSU in a heartbeat.

I'm wondering now about the battle for LSU and Georgia for Gator and Chick Fil A. Both have senior QBs that won't play. Obviously they'll take either but it shows how important that position is.

chic fil a won't pick LSU again
