Terrible travel.

I just don't think that our fans will travel well to any bowl, with the exception of maybe the Cotton. It's the Christmas season and people typically don't have a lot of extra money hanging around after buying gifts, traveling to visit family, etc. Couple that with the fact that one of our SEC rivals, whom we beat, is playing for the BCSNC in Pasadena, and I have a feeling there will be a good deal of apathy within the LSU nation. I will be surprised if we sell out our ticket allotment to whatever bowl we get invited to.

Something else that bothers me about playing Michigan is that I'm not sure how much Les would really want to beat his alma mater. Would he give 100% or would he be conflicted and distracted?

Long way to travel. Outdoor bowl in an area that has Baton Rouge type winter weather. 11:00 am 1/1/14 start. One hour drive to the stadium from the only cool places to stay which are Fernandina Beach or St. Augustine.

Game is at noon. And Atlantic Beach and Ponte Vedra are closer.

From the article:

South Carolina is headed for the Capital One Bowl to play Wisconsin.

If this is true, then we are going to the Outback.

I'm not saying he wouldn't want to win. I'm just saying that it might be difficult for him. Steve Spurrier has admitted on more than occasion that beating Florida is never something he really enjoys.

So basically we are waiting to see if the Outback is gonna screw us in favor of A&M.

You're not stupid enough to think he'd want to lose?

Saw a tweet that says tamu to outback.

@MandyWRAL: Chick- Fil-a bowl source says the bowl expected to have Texas AM/duke. The Outback surprised them by taking TAMU, so CFA bowl changed mind.

Anyone know otherwise?

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it?

That's not what I said. I said that it might be difficult for him, and he might be somewhat distracted.
