Boutte on KO returns?

It's more absurd when you consider most kicks don't get returned anyway. We need to have him focus on offense and playing in as many positions as possible to create mismatches.

With that said - I personally would rather see Trey Palmer, Chris Hilton or Sage Ryan back there if any of them can get healthy

This is a dumb fan meme. If Boutte can get us extra yards on kickoffs that is just as valuable as on plays from scrimmage. And I've watched football for over a half century, and I've never noticed a lot of injuries to kick returners.

Lastly, all coaches use their studs on special teams. You should have enough humility to question yourself in the face of overwhelming disagreement from the experts.

kick returns have all but been eliminated from the game
it's either a touchback or most of the times it will be a fair catch

we have 3 KO returns this year
last year we had 15 kickoff returns in 10 games
14 kickoff returns in 2019

its just not an issue anymore

I wouldn't put one of my best players in for punt return. if he gets hurt, it would be sad!
