I guess because he didn't give up a hit for 12.1 innings?

Yeah I mean it's not like a pitcher's arm can get hurt throwing too much...

No they don't. It's not an elimination game.

They have a great bullpen, no reason to try and injure the arm of your best guy when there's still baseball ahead win or lose.

I'm sure he was checking on him after each inning. If he's good to go, you throw him. This is a must win game. He only threw about 25 more pitches than Ranaudo did tonight.

Whatever, I'll go with the guy coaching the team. He knows his kids better than you or I do. 25 innings!

More like 40. Wood pitched 169 pitches. Ranaudo apparently went 129 or 130.

Unless he is superman there's as good of a chance as anyone he can hurt his arm overthrowing himself. Wouldn't be the first time a coach made a bad move with a pitcher in baseball.

Nope it wouldn't, and if this kid can't throw anymore, I'll apologize to you.

So he pitched around 185-200 pitches in the last 2 days?

No idea what he did yesterday. I think somebody said something about him throwing 30 or so pitches yesterday, but I don't know.

They have reported that he threw 169 tonight, though.
