You’re an idiot if you think the tepper/Cameron issues were even similar.

Besides, it could be argued with that miles was fired for EXACTLY what O was doing to Canada. Meddling with the offense.

Who was the OC?

I’d argue that Miles was the OC for many years.

Les was fired because we weren’t winning enough games

People act like if we went spread and lost the same amount of games he would still be here.

It’s always about the Ws and Ls

I’m a little concerned that this is what happened.

But would you see any similarities to DiNardo's promotion of Mac McConnell to OC (who also reportedly didn't want the job) to a promotion of Ensminger to OC?

The fact that Ensminger hasn't already been named OC should tell you that he's not getting the job. Canada's gone, Ensminger is already there on staff. If it's him, why no announcement?

Miles was never told to fix the offense. He was told to quit losing a bunch of SEC games. He was fired because he was losing too much. The same reason 97% of all coaches are fired

After 2008 it was always Les's offense.

What head coach doesn't "meddle" with offense and defense?

I beg to disagree. our defense was terrible, the players didn't understand his textbook and dinardo refused to can him. I distinctly remember the news that dinardo "stood up" to the admin. and big boosters.

Dinardo was fired because he went 4-7 and started the next season 2-8. The defense destroyed the 98 season and the offense was also awful in 99 after he promoted the OC from within.

I do not represent this board.

but I do give you the credit for understanding my post. I have to admit to not knowing the EXACT REASONS for the Canada firing but the production on the field MUST be improved. if firing the OC is the way to do that, I support it.

that means i'm giving Orgeron the benefit of the doubt on this one. no more or no less. I call 'em like I see 'em and try to keep an open mind. if you check, you'll find many of my posts wanting to keep Canada another year.

What do you think happens when you install a new offense at this level of football? There will be growing pains.

It's going to happen again next season.
