Herman would beat Bama and then turn around and lose to Arkansas if this year is ANY indication.

If last year is any indications he would win national championships.

Best way to start beating Bama is for someone to give Saban a lobotomy in his sleep.

This might be possible. With the way some of the "LSU fans" here on the rant fawn all over Saban, you would swear that some of them are sleeping with the guy.

His record at Oky ST was 4 seasons, made 3 bowl games, won 1.

From the 1989 season until Miles took over the head coaching position in 2001, Oklahoma State went to ONE bowl game.

So I would say that 3 bowl games in 4 years is pretty damn good.

Booger is very good. Wish he were the AD making choices at LSU.

Louisiana players have never been the reason LSU loses against Bama. Coaching is, and has been for 5 years, INCLUDING THIS YEAR.

Booger, and all ex-players can suck it.

Hear me out:

LSU is at a bigger disadvantage than anyone on Bama's schedule because of the bye week.

Now, I realize LSU has one as well. But, what one coach, in CFB, would you NOT want to play with an extra weeks preparation? I say Saban....LSU has been "good enough" to beat Bama 3 of the past 5 years....the one issue is offense. If we don't get better offensively, it won't happen.

LSU has been good enough defensively.

The process of deciding the head coach position resembled last year's in that Alleva did not give himself enough options each time.

In 2015, he only pursued Jimbo Fisher and no one else, though there were other coaches who would have considered LSU much stronger than Fisher did.

This year, it was just Fisher (again, Alleva did not learn his lesson from 2015) and Herman. There were other choices mentioned on this board and by various sources, including Fleck and Mike Gundy, but Alleva only showed token interest toward them and put little effort into it.

I am not saying Orgeron was a bad choice, but since Alleva had about two months to get a coach, he squandered opportunities to expand the coaching search.

I don't believe LSU has a tackle like Robinson.

Unless Bama has 5 O linemen stolen from La that don't play like they have roller skates on, I don't see Booger being on point here.

Jonathan Allen is a fricking Nose Tackle. So i don't think a LT woudl habe stopped him from dominating our weak Center.

johnathan allen does play def end when tim Williams is not on the field and goes to nose tackle when tim is in the game. daron payne mans the nose when Williams is in the game and they are in a 4 man front so it would be a few occasions he would have to see cam.

Imagine if we had kept Denzel Devall and Torshiro Davis. That's 2 highly recruited, BIG LBs at 6'2-6'3 250lbs and both running around a 4.6

I know some guys don't pan out, but on paper that's some really nice talent!

Tim Williams and Cam Robinson would have solved everything.

they sure as frick would have helped our cause. It was a close game and any thing could have happened. Whose to say they wouldn't have made a difference for us. I think Boogers point is that we need to land the best players from Louisiana and not have Bama land them.

I don't think Booger means that LSU should only recruit Louisiana players but that it would help to keep the home grown talent here at LSU. And yes coaching is the main reason we lose to bama because college coaching is all about recruiting and the better players they have is why we lose to them (same as every other team they play)

Let's say we have Hootie and Cam Robinson on the team this year. We still wouldn't have beaten Bama

Having Robinson and equally as important bama not having Robinson may have made a bigger difference than you think. Both teams would have different offensive fronts at that point with ours improving and theirs not quite as good.
