LSU fans history of booing goes long before Bert Jones.

Even Bert was booed when Mac put him in over Lyons and that was Bert's jr year.

But Mac's 2 qb system had fans booing in the Hillman days.

I remember the pic of RL 2x flipping off the west section of the stadium as he walked off the field.

I think the fans were spoiled by "Magic" Juan Betanzos. Or did JB come after RL? That was a while back.

Ronnie Lewis has a son who was a good place kicker at Denham and is now at McNeese. I wonder what advice Ronnie gave his son about LSU?

Magic Juan came before Lewis. He didn't really spoil anyone.

People being total assholes is also not new. Been going on pretty much since humans came down out of the trees. Doesn't make it right.

Link to a picture or news story? That's funny as hell especially considering the current Boogate environment...

LSU fans are quickly becoming the joke many think Les Miles is; when he's gone we'll still be here.

Betanzos was before Lewis. His range on FG was topped out at about 40 yds. Back then, I think they kicked off from the 40 YD line, and he would barely get it inside the 20 yard line of the opponents.

I went to HS with a chick, on senior trip, she banged him in Fort Walton Beach. He was a Jr., going to be a Sr. in college.

He was third in LSU history with # of field goals attempted and made enough of them to have the seventh best FG percentage in LSU history.

If I remember correctly, he trailed off towards the end of his career but he was pretty reliable.

As far as pics of Ronnie Lewis' act, I've never been able to find one on the Internet, which is probably for the best. Maybe someone else dug one up.

Sometimes I think it would be much easier to list the QBs at LSU who weren't booed at some point in their career.

I remember many a QB including Josh Booty and Marcus Randall who were booed in the 1990s - 2000s. Goes back to the saying that the favorite QB is the one on the bench.

Add Wickersham and I heard Bert Jones was booed too.

All these anti-boo nazis need to realize in an emotionally charged atmosphere, aided by alcohol, boos will happen whether you like it or not.

The 2 most popular men in Louisiana history: Huey P. Long and whoever the current backup quarterback is at LSU.
