The LSU Board of Supervisors approved contracts for seven assistant football coaches on Friday.
Defensive coordinator Blake Baker, offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr., offensive line coach Eric Wolford, edge rushers coach Kevin Peoples, special teams coach Joe Houston, tight ends coach Joe Cox and run-game specialist James Cregg all had contracts approved.
Notably, Baker and Weis were the highest paid; Baker is receiving $3 million per year, while Weis is receiving $2.5 million per year. Both of their contracts are set to end by Jan. 31, 2029.

It is no where near notable that the two coordinators are the highest paid assistants. If would fricking shocking if they weren't.

He is saying LSU could have fired Baker earlier in the week since his contract was just approved. Forget for a second that a first year coach firing his def coordinator after 6 games would be the epitome of a panic move, he has no idea how contracts work.
