blood in the water and lack of specifics

Is anyone else amused by both the lack of specifics and smear job of Coach O and LSU? I have seen articles with journalist quoting journalist. ‘Sources’ and referencing ‘all’ players and coaches wanted no association with Coach O? I understand that there are definitely off-field and practice antics. Implying these events happened on a weekly, or even daily, basis to suit your narrative is dishonest. Let’s admit all this is about winning and product on the field. Geaux Tigers

The reality is all of that stuff would have been (begrudgingly) tolerated by the admin if LSU was something like 15-2 at this point since 2019. Unfortunately for O, he didn't have the W/L record to mask his buffoonery.
This situation, at its core, is no different than many situations in life. The more you produce...the more rope you are given with respect to mistakes/bad decisions.

Media isn't paid to be right. They're paid to get you to click.
"Anonymous" sources are usually always fabricated.

Look at who our coordinators are.

Of course it is, but when Coach O's off the field antics bleed into his work it affects on the field results so its all intertwined. This isn't hard to see.

I agree in principle but I don't believe those two things are unrelated. An undisciplined personal life will certainly lead to an undisciplined professional life...at least in the case of a major college football coach. There are lots of moving parts and O didn't have the ability to manage them all well. That isn't a knock. Lots of people would fail at that. Glad he's leaving...excited for what's next...thanks for 2019.

Yes, but then people search for reasons. Why did things slide under O? People want to know.

You’re drinking O flavored kook aid.

You worried about Ed’s reputation or something?

Well the little pink haired fruit loop that wrote the article for The Athletic backtracked on a good bit of it on Finebaum yesterday. It tells you a lot when someone who is no friend to LSU or Coach O backs you into a corner.

You evidently were worried about his reputation as much as you complained about him.

And it was justified as evidenced by Ed getting shitcanned in the middle of the season

If he could have pulled all this crap off and won while keeping the team and coaches motivated, of course he’s still here. No way you could have watched the last 1.5 years and thought everything was good. Throw in the strange hires and hiring practices and there are glaring issues.
But of course if he’s winning things are good. But he’s not.

Journalism has decayed into rot. There is no integrity when you have stories citing sources who end up being other reporters. That's trash reporting but it happens everywhere including main stream media. It's become common practice but rarely pointed out

Who knew Ed was a player? The incident at the gas station. Are we supposed to believe if Coach didn’t get divorced, he still have a job at LSU. How about the fact that he’s 9-8 the last 2 years. Way to kick a dog when he’s down!!!

The top producing sales guys in most companies are weird dudes that do crazy shite. But they bring in money and that crazy shite is overlooked.

Bill, I don't think I've ever seen a lucid post from you on this message board. Ever.
