Before my time for sure.

The only ones that I can point to was UGA ‘03 and FLA ‘07

Special place in my heart for MSU 2000. My one and only rushing of the field

Hope LSU will do something to recognize the 1979 team this year.
I know this is going to seem like I'm being an a-hole about this, but I'm really curious, why would we recognize a team that went 7-5?

If Benji thibodaux doesn’t grab Paul macdonalds face mask we win! Tigers played out of their minds that night. USC was loaded with nfl hall of famers. Munoz false start should have replayed the down! Damn so close.

I remember reading that when USC got off the busses in Baton Rouge, there were 3,000 LSU fans Tiger Baiting them. They couldn't believe it.

I was at both USC and Alabama in 79 and Florida State in 82. I think the FSU game was easily the funnest with the oranges and fog, but man that USC game was LOUD. I also seem to recall the bama game being played in a torrential downpour.

Was at both of those. Incredible nights to be a Tiger fan. Bama 2012 and Bama 2014 get over shadowed because of the endings, but those evening are the gold standard for what Tiger Stadium can be start to finish.

We wouldn’t. That 79 team also lost to Tulane by double digits. Embarrassing.

24-13. One of the best Tulane teams ever and LSU was a little better than average. This was Cholly Mac's last regular season game but Tulane had too much. Better at the skill positions than LSU, the QB, Roch Hontas, was way better than Ensminger and Woodley, though he spurned any type of pro career to be a doctor. It was a good game. The game was actually on an ABC regional broadcast so I didn't have to flip between John Ferguson for LSU and Kenny Berthelot (good grief...) for Tulane.

HA HA Great hyperbole! No it wasn't. Bama could move the ball but could not punch in except for a 27 yard TD. They had 270 something yards with only 26 rushing. They missed two FGs and had a late fourth quarter fumble. It was kind of like the 0-10 game in 2016. So close but yet so far always. There is no such thing as a 0-3 blowout.
only 26 passing... 18 first downs to 9... lsu had less than 100 yards total offense -

After the Turner incompletion. The final pass was to LaFleur.

The score in the bama game was not indicative of the domination of that bama team. They ran the option to perfection only to have the pitch man slip on the wet turf. The usc game was a different story. The loudest tiger stadium has ever been. An amazing night...btw, benjy got hosed on the call. Budde moves early...

I agree. I was in the student section for that game and I can't recall a louder game.
