Miles not calling time out. Or did we still have one to call?

This isn't going to be popular, but Jamal Adams blew that game. On Bama's first play, with 50 seconds left and no time outs, they complete a pass in the middle right just a few yards downfield. Adam's job is to keep him from the sidelines. He blows it and saves Bama about 15 seconds and a down.

Several other things cost us. The most obvious is the kicker setting them up at the 40. It's amazing the list of failures by great players - J.C. Copeland twice - that kept that Bama string going.

Saw a comment on that video talking about this, but on the last play of the game, 4th and 10 in OT, Jennings had wide open grass to pick up a first down.

He had one. With 13 seconds on the clock and without the ball. What he thought he needed it for I'll never know. You could tell by the WR and DB reaction that the ball was incomplete.

Those 2 drops by Trey Quinn put him in the doghouse never to return again....what a shame

It was also during an era where a WR might get 2 targets per game so it’s not like he had much of a chance to ever rebound from it

Did I see two possible interference calls on Alabama in OT that were not called?

The hardest loss for me to get over. We had the game won in regulation.

Yeah this was the same game with the PF BS that cost LSU a TD to seal it.

Then Bama had to cheat to get the tying FG.

Then they ran a pick play for their TD.

Not to mention many other bad calls during this cheat job.

The entire game was one giant kick in the nuts

~Trey Quinn drops
~Kick out of bounds
~Unreviewed catch
~Personal foul call in OT
~Jennings 4th down throw to the end zone when he had 6 miles of open field to scramble to the 1st down.

The trick play in OT did not go for a TD, but it did go to the 1.

That's the play that drives me crazy. Bama is in no way set for the play. Clear illegal shift right in front of the ref. If it is called, then the play is eliminated and Bama gets 1st&15 on the 30.

Oh wait, some nimrod Bama OL hit an LSU player late and was called for a personal foul. Since it was a dead-ball foul, both should have been enforced.

Bama's should have then had a 1st&30 from their own 45 instead of 1st&10 from the 16.

That's a big no-call.

There was so much frickery in this game.

Both by the refs giving Bama several advantages and by some boneheaded mistakes by LSU.

If just one of the many bounces go our way we likely win the game. This one really hurt since it was my first Bama home game as a student.

I remember Tom Borne announcing after we recovered the fumble to not rush the field after the game, since we did it against Ole Miss earlier in the season. Motherfricker jinxed it.

On Jennings third down slant to Travin Dural at the 10 the BAMA defensive back was draped over his back with the ball 2 yards away from Dural. No call

Correct. That was the first round of frickery in OT. This was the play AFTER that where they scored the TD. It was a blatant pick play. Everyone saw it.

I knew LSU was going to get screwed that game when not 1, but two refs within 2 yards of Dupre's TD catch called it INC. Thank goodness for replay or LSU wouldn't have gotten that TD. On the replay in the stadium you could see both refs within a few yards looking right at his feet and STILL calling it inc.

Crooked bastards. LOL

Clemson won a national championship by running a pick play against Bama.

It’s not Bama bias, it’s just whether a particular refs wants to call that penalty, with the game on the line.
