His velocity is down but he doesn’t have any good off speed pitches that he can throw with confidence either. His best pitch is a 4 seam FB that has no run. Basically a flat pitch. Then he has trouble locating that one pitch and it will float up in zone occasionally. That’s why he walks a guy here or there and then gives up a homer. He just hasn’t progressed from HS.

His signature pitch is the dreaded off-speed fastball right down the middle.
There's nary a lead safe enough for him as a reliever. He can come in with a 9-1 lead and 4 pitches later 9-5 on the scoreboard. Nasty

He was mediocre his freshman year and started out pretty solid last year until he hurt his wrist or whatever it was. Seems it’s been downhill from there but maybe he just doesn’t have it.
