I live in the Baton Rouge metro area. I like it a lot. Maybe I don’t see the bad areas like some people? I don’t go to those areas. I would much rather like anywhere around Baton Rouge than live around New Orleans. I’ve lived in both.

I've lived in the metro for 45 of 47 years.

North Baton Rouge is rough but there is rarely a reason for most of us to go there. It wasn't always like that. The vast majority of South Baton Rouge/St George is fine.

Family life of a high level coach is just tough for raising a family (especially college bc you also need to throw in recruiting). Constant moves, long hours, stressful conditions and probably the biggest kicker is not being able to actually coach your children.
